It's okay, Kellen ... most of us root for douches ... look at the people that posted in this thread! Big Ben is a douche. Aaron Rodgers? Yeah, he's a douche, too! Guy in my avatar? He's an insanely likable human being tho LFG!!!!

Hello (again) all...was going through a bunch of old forum profiles, found this one and felt a bit of nostalgia for the good old days. It's been a HOT minute since I was last here. Not sure how "back" I am, but I hope to hang around and get into some of the discussions when I can. I miss having a group I can talk sports with. -P4L

Yeah I mean, I'm sure this is sensationalized because that's what sports media does but I also don't think it's made up.

You have to have a certain level of douche / ego / confidence to be successful at QB. But there needs to be a balance. You can’t so openly play favorites ... you can’t omit yourself from the problems the team may be facing. That’s just being a terrible leader. What makes it harder for Wentz is what Blots mentioned .... having your very well liked and respected backup win a SB in your absence. Probably a big reason the Eagles are ready to try and get rid of Foles. They need this this to be Carson’s team... and it isn’t right now no matter what anyone says.

Per Rotoworld.com: Responding to a January article questioning his character and 2018 attitude, Carson Wentz said "I'm not perfect." Wentz was surprisingly introspective responding to the wave-making PhillyVoice piece, disputing some specific assertions but acknowledging some of its broader strokes. "I know I’m not perfect. I know I have flaws," Wentz said. "So I’m not going to sit here and say it was inaccurate and completely made up. I’m not going to do that." Wentz also said he's unlikely to change. "I’m 26 years old; my personality, to some extent, ain’t going to change. ... It’s what’s gotten me here, what’s gotten me successful. I’m not going to say, ‘Oh, now I’m going to have this free-spirited, Cali-guy vibe.’ That’s just not going to change." They are fascinating, candid answers from a quarterback who has had a bizarre 15 months since injury likely cost him the 2017 MVP award. Wentz will have plenty to prove in 2019. He has the skill to do it. Feb 4 - 2:16 PM Source: Philadelphia Inquirer & Daily News

Absolutely horrendous trade for the Knicks. They're probably getting the Dallas 2021 and 2023 picks but unless they don't expect Porzingis to recover, thats just an awful return.

I'd imagine wentz feels a lot of pressure being the franchise guy when the backup won the super bowl. No too surprising that'd he'd push back against Foles (and this recent run probably didn't help). However, he's a young guy and they have a good coach so I bet they will work this out.
