I've been watching a lot of Aldon Smith's game tape, since he is a popular name being thrown around when it comes to the Texans. I can definitely see the comparison to DeMarcus Ware, but at first glance I was thinking more like Brian Orakpo. I really like Aldon's swagger, and definitely wouldn't mind seeing him in a Texans uniform on Sundays.

Kiper: I like the Robert Quinn pick, but I'll be mad if the Texans draft TWO cornerbacks in the first three rounds. They need to sign a veteran corner once Free Agency finally starts up. They don't need to have their secondary even younger... McShay: I would throw up if they draft Wilkerson! If the board falls that way, I would hope the Texans take Prince Amukamara there. I'd be totally fine with Justin Houston in the second round, but if they draft a safety in the third round I'd rather it be Quinton Carter over Jarrett.

S'all good man. I guess it was a topic that I missed three months ago. Mods can close/delete this thread if they think it's necessary.

"Tony Romo should have to beat out Jon Kitna for the starting job this year."
FartWaffles replied to Turry's topic in NFC
I'm sure if you polled the Cowboys that it wouldn't even be close. Remember Romo suffered his season-ending injury before Wade Phillips was fired. The team really came together under Jason Garrett. -

Who really cares what Martellus Bennett thinks? This would only be news if it was coming from Witten. -

Looks like even with dark skin Cam Newton has a good shot at being drafted #1 overall. This also comes after Panthers GM Marty Hurney quickly defended the attacks Nolan Nawrocki wrote on Cam Newton's character. I won't say for sure, but it seems almost like a done deal that Newton will be a Panther.

Maybe he could just settle with a four hour drive from Houston.

Not very fun. Being chased by dogs, and probably end up getting hit by a car... Who do you think will win the NCAA Championship? Butler or UConn?

Women reporters on the sidelines and in locker rooms. Who else feels they shouldnt be there.
FartWaffles replied to Wacko4Flacco61's topic in General NFL Talk
Look just because other sports don't let both sexes in locker rooms, doesn't mean that the NFL has to coincide with them. They like to provide equal opportunities for reporters, because in most cases the best place to gather information is in the locker room, especially after a game. Has this caused some drama as of late? Sure, but I bet there are many more female reporters that are happy the NFL provides them with these opportunities to get a valuable story. -
The Houston Texans are looking to trade back. Their sixth round pick is up for trade. PM me if you are interested.

I'd like to build my team around Dan Marino, and try and get him a Super Bowl ring.

That's the same determined look Bangy made before selecting Josh Cribbs in the first round.

Hey BLUE, why do you keep taking down the PLO table? That shizz needs to stay man!

No way Mario Harvey falls to the seventh round. He should be gone by the fourth or fifth at the very worst. Other than that it seems like a pretty good wish list.

Trading a third round pick, and moving back in the second round is a "shot in the dark?" :grinno: If that's the case, then could Seahawks please take a shot in the dark on Dan Orlovsky?

With the 138th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans select... Lee Ziemba: Offensive Tackle, Auburn Ziemba is very athletic, and quick on his toes. He fits a zone-blocking scheme perfectly. Very durable with 52 starts under his belt during his college career going up against top SEC defenses. He also won the Jacobs Blocking Trophy this year which is an award given to the SEC's best blocker. Ziemba would likely fill in as Eric Winston's backup at RT, but he could also kick inside and play Guard. Over time Ziemba could develop into the Texans' future starter at RT. Not bad for a fifth round pick!

I'll take a guess and say it was Jimmy Smith.

I'm so glad the Texans didn't draft this guy. (He was heavily linked to them pre-draft 2008) It's a shame really... He is such a talented cornerback, but apparently he likes getting into trouble more than playing football.
