You know, there used to be this cartoon picture of a corn dog floating around in the ocean with a caption that read, "It's OK to be different."

If I could find that picture, I'd have posted that link, and the funny would be been instantaneous, not dependent on whether or not you read my tl;dr comment.

You are being ridiculous. They graded him a third, he's obviously not a third round talent. If you're basing your criticism on always taking someone who's on your board in that round, you have no creativity, none of the guts necessary to have draft surprises. This is an absurd argument. You're simply looking for things to criticize the Cowboys over. When you have a real critique or criticism that actually holds water and isn't just nitpicking bullshit, hit me up.

How do we not know that someone else planned to take him early? Offensive Lineman are found throughout the draft. Center was an obvious need. It's not a bad pick if it's in the trenches, imo.

I like Keenan Allen a lot, too, but I'm kind of baffled by Kemp going on about the Frederick being a bad pick.

They had him rated a third rounder. He's awesome--they were wrong. Even before Brian Waters came in, Travis Frederick had stabilized this offensive line. It was a good pick. It's that black and white.

It doesn't matter how they rated him if they'd heard rumor that someone else was going to take him. He's clearly a success on a chance they decided to take. Ineptitude is continually drafting bad players, which Dallas certainly doesn't do.

Travis Frederick, after seeing him play so far this season, is a third round talent? I personally guarantee you that Travis Frederick is more important to Dallas' success than Keenan Allen would have been.

Dallas didn't need a 1st round WR. We've already got one. They were targeting later round WRs. Having Keenan Allen on the draft board wasn't necessary, in the slightest.

You're acting like Allen is a top 10 WR. You don't need to have every middle of the road guy on your draft board.

Seeing potential is all over? He's always had the potential. Just made some unnecessary mistakes early on.

You guys make it sound like the difference between the two is drastic. Williams will be a better all-around receiver and is already showing the necessary progressions. I'll gladly take the guy who's as good or almost as good and going to be better.

Just over 4 years here for me, too. One of the best random decisions I've made.

This has nothing to do with party loyalty. I just don't believe that this move was anything more than political posturing for a 2016 nomination.
