    Top 3 Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths: 1. Run game. Beast Mode + ZBS... enough said. 2. Defense. Unit has led the league in points allowed three years straight. There's a slight question mark with this group heading into the season due to ET's recovering shoulder injury, Kam's holdout (and its affect on the locker room), and losing Byron Maxwell. If the LOB takes a slight step back though, I can see it being negated by the DL taking a step forward with the addition of Frank Clark (who looked outstanding last night) and a couple of younger players coming back who've been marred by injury (Jordan Hill, Cassius Marsh, and possibly Jesse "The Monstar" Williams). 3. Play action. Homerism aside, I find it hard to foresee any team surpassing Seattle in big/explosive plays this year. Hawks led the league last year with 110, and the addition of Jimmy Graham's size to go with Luke Willson's speed... well, let's just say good luck to those defense facing our double TE sets. Weaknesses: 1. Offensive line. Losing Unger (Saints) at center hurts, as does a road-grader at guard like Big Carp (Jets). The (big) holes in the line will be patched by unheralded, undrafted and late-round young guns, who may or may not be transitioning from the the other side of the ball. While Seattle called a pretty vanilla game plan for last night's game, a sieve would've bought more time for the QBs. Wilson's health and scramble ability will be as important as ever this year. 2. RB depth. Robert Turbin is average with rare moments of brilliance when spelling The Beast, but it remains to be seen if he could carry the load should the need arise. Former 2nd round pick Christine Michael has all the physical talent in the world, but his mental game leaves everything to be desired. Undrafted rookie Thomas Rawls threatens to replace him on the depth chart. 3. QB depth. Tavaris Jackson going down with a sprained ankle last night against the Broncos is unnerving. He's solid to get us through a couple games if needed, and from what I've read the sprain isn't serious and will only take a few weeks to heal. Our lack of depth at this position is more concerning considering the #1 weakness, which is the OL, particularly pass protection.

Kam Chancellor Won't Show Up to Training Camp

Unless you're his doctor, I'd like to see what evidence you have for this, considering he's recently stated that he's healthy and feels better than any preseason prior.

What has you excited about this year?

    1. Wilson to Graham, all day errry day. 2. The return game with Tyler Lockett. We weren't the same after we let Tate walk. 3. The young bucks on the DL: Frank Clark, Cassius Marsh, Jordan Hill. Clark for his freak athleticism and how he transitions into the NFL. Marsh for his motor, and how he'll come back from a lost season. Hill, to see if he can pick up after he left off when he got hurt... 5.5 sacks down the stretch last year. The rest of the league: 1. If 49ers can rally under Tomsula, or if they will revert back to a dumpster fire of entertainment for another decade. 2. The outcome of the Bradford/Foles trade. Can Bradford stay healthy and finally show his 1st overall potential? Can Foles thrive in a new system and prove he isn't a one hit wonder? 3. How Dan Quinn does in Atlanta.

EWU's Vernon Adams looking to replace Mariota in Oregon

Did you not watching him throw 7 TDs and 400+ against UW and almost win the game despite EWU starting the game down 21-0? Did you not watch him account for 500+ yards and 6 TDs in a win against OSU the year before? He will do very well at UO, and I wish him success. But fuck Whoregon and their $$$ and $hady recruiting tactics. They used his HS coach to let him know they wanted him.

Lynch Trademarks "I'm Just Here So I Won't Get Fined"

It's neither. I don't think he has anxiety about it, and I don't think he's trying to draw attention to himself, despite that being the end result. He just doesn't give a flying f*ck what others think of him, and will bow to no man. He's got issue with the NFL forcing him to give interviews he doesn't want to give, and he's made it pretty clear, in Thursday's session even, that the media asking loaded questions in attempts to get a story they want to write or portray him in a way he doesn't want to be portrayed, pisses him off. That's all media around the NFL (and in general) does; try to find and exacerbate controversy and drama. I don't blame him for giving those "reporters" and the NFL a big middle finger. And it most certainly isn't an act. He's like that all the time, at least from all interviews I've seen him give, and accounts from other players.

He's an attention whore? What? That's what you got out of today's interview? Interesting. Lol. Seriously though, if you pay attention to his words and actions, it's pretty clear he doesn't give a damn about attention. He is who he is and won't acquiesce to anyone. The only attention he seeks is for his teammates and his charity/Oakland.
  7. I know both Sherman and Thomas will play, but at what percentage they can play will be huge. If Sherman's left arm is strong enough to jam his man on the line and handle contact when going up to contest catches, I really like Seattle's chances. There's nothing wrong with Thomas' legs and range, so as long as he can avoid destroying his shoulder and leaving the game early, he should be fine. The way I see it: Seattle gets no turnovers: Patriots win by 7-10. Seattle gets one turnover: Coin flip. Seattle gets two turnovers: Seattle wins by one score. Seattle gets three or more turnovers: See XLVIII.

Earl Thomas & Sherman NFCCG Injuries

Sherm's injury isn't his hand... he hyper extended his elbow. His elbow was across Lacy's body while trying to get him out of bounds, and Kam came in with a lowered shoulder and essentially smashed right into the back of Sherm's elbow. Made me cringe when I watched the replay.

Earl Thomas & Sherman NFCCG Injuries

"I know who I am, I'm a warrior, bro," Thomas said. "Everybody on the team knows who I am," Thomas said. "I'm a man, man." Love that dude.

    NFCCG: Packers @ Seahawks

Hell of a game by the Pack today. I had given up pretty much all hope on that 4th pick. I gave us maybe a 10% chance after the Wilson TD, because I didn't think we'd get the onsides. What a game. GB's OL impressed me, but not as much as their D. They were relentless and gave Seattle all they could handle.

    NFCCG: Packers @ Seahawks

Upon hearing there's going to be a lot of rain and wind, with potential gusts up to 60mph, I'm going to adjust my prediction. 27 10 The wind and Rogers' limited mobility are a huge dagger. Seattle's run defense >>>>>>>>>>>> Green Bay's run defense.

    NFCCG: Packers @ Seahawks

You're smoking something, but it definitely isn't going to be the Hawks. 34 20

    Panthers @ Seahawks

    They already fell. 27-10 Seattle.

UPDATE: Fitzgerald Signs New 2 Yr Contract w/ Cards

I don't understand how this is possible. Sure, Percy's off the books, but, Wilson will be going from what, 800k to 20M? Plus, we have to get a deal for Wagner since there's not way we let him hit free agency. Not sure what the cap space looks like with Wright and Avril's deals also.
