Now that we have a little more information — what’s everyone’s takes on Trumps conversations with the President of Ukraine ?

Is there though? I know Allen played extremely well, but are people in the building or the media talking about the possibility of moving on from Cam? Legit question, I don’t watch as much sports news on tv so I’m out of the loop with some of the local stuff being said. But ya, I wouldn’t call it a controversy until those whisper start happening because it would signal a loss of confidence in Cam.

The Packers defense is unrelenting. But definitely some things to work on still. Broncos had a couple of drive where their backs just gashed us over and over. But even when those things happen, I don’t panic like I would used to. One of these games it will catch up to us but over the long haul, I don’t think it will be something that consistently loses us games. I don’t think there’s a lack of talent on offense either. Jimmy Graham is bad but we have depth that we need to rotate in more often. Same with the receivers... we have Lazard and Shepard on the roster. If the guys we are trotting out there aren’t getting it done we need to get those other guys at least a chance to make a difference. Shepherd especially has that Randall Cobb-like quality which we need right now. I wouldn’t be making any trades though, not at this point.

Could get back on track Thursday against the Packers. Only thing that’s really blistered the defense has been slow methodical check downs and screens . Dink and dunk.... all the time. Eagles offense might benefit from slowing down some and just execute at a high level.

It’s weird to say he caters to outrage culture when he’s saying things like don’t worry about impeaching Trump, don’t impeach Kavanaugh (although he doesn’t think he should’ve been confirmed to begin with), and don’t fire the SNL cast member (who made racist jokes that were in part directed are yang specifically). He’s spoken out against outrage culture and being PC so many times it’s hard for me to rationalize your image of him and who he actually is. However, I’m not looking to change anyone’s vote. I come here to discuss, post the things I like (and don’t). However people choose to take that information is up to them. No skin off my back lol

I don’t know if you’re referring to Yang, which is what thanatos was getting at but fear mongering really isn’t his thing. He tells you like it is. His campaign thus far has been meeting people displaced by AI. It’s already happening (to a smaller degree). There’s a million truck drivers in this country... mostly male... mostly with nothing more than a GED / diploma. Automated vehicles obliterates that job field (just one example). Its similar to Yangs policies on climate change. He’s the only Democrat up there that while he does advocate for change... he lays it out like it is... We’re beyond fucked. We’ve fucked up the planet beyond a point of reversal. There is doom and gloom there but he attacks it from a very logical angle... with facts. The landscape of work IS changing. Will we survive? Sure. Are there ways to enable humans to make that jump easier and smoother. Damn right.

I don’t think that’s gonna be the only reason either. Watching these debates makes me fear for the next 4 years of our country. Almost seems like destiny that Trump wins again. Biden is losing his mind (literally, I genuinely feel bad for him)... Unless something crazy happens, I think Warren May cruise to this nomination and Trump will obliterate her 1 on 1 I feel. Packers definitely need to be more consistent. Limit the big plays (Cook is very average if we don't give him a nearly untouched 75 yard run). That needs to get cleaned up. And there are just too many plays we miss by a fraction of an inch. I can't even say how many times yesterday Aaron dropped an absolute DIME into a WR who just.. ended up dropping the ball or whatever. Not saying some of those weren't tough / contested catches... But those guys get paid to haul those in. If you can only catch passes when you're wide open, I don't have time for you lol. Same thing on defense though, our defenders get to the QB so often (or at least relative to what we were the last few years), but Kirk Cousins of all people looked like Houdini. We let at least 3 sacks just slip away and at least one them ended up being a huge play. However, it is nice to see a game where our offense can take 3 quarters off and we still win. I do love the tempo and energy of both sides of the ball. It actually looks like these guys give a shit, which is a good change on its own regardless of how our final record falls. You can tell this change (coaching) and all the FAs we brought in have morphed the locker room into something a lot better than what it was. I am excited to watch how the season unfolds, even knowing there are gonna be some really ugly bumps along the way. Other Random Thoughts - I said this before the season started, but the Colts are going to be fine. I am not going to make any bold and stupid predictions when it comes to the playoffs -- but Jacoby is playing very good football right now. Now for the bold and stupid stuff.... I think he may be better suited for this Colts team than Andrew Luck. Luck is/was obviously more naturally gifted to play the position but it really looks like Brissett fits this team better. He's not putting them into holes (again, it's 2 games, I get it) and he's just playing fundamentally good football. He's not as flashy or prone to the big plays as Luck, but overall I think he's more steady and reliable. - I haven't gotten to watch him play but Kyler Murray's statline looks really good. David Johnson being made of glass might sink them though as teams begin to assimilate to the Cardinals offensive tempo. - Miami definitely looks like 0 - 16 material barring some fluke. - The Bills have been better than I expected, even considering the competition. Which means they are gonna finish 6 - 10. - Daniel Jones at QB makes the Giants better instantly. It's kind of a sad way for Eli to end, and I understand how it might be kind of ugly from an organizational stand point -- but if winning is the goal, Eli needs to sit. Although to be fair, Pat Shurmur is a trash tier head coach.. Maybe you could make an argument that putting Jones in there may just stunt his development.

Yes, this is the general idea Yang has. Stop artificially restricting the number of doctors we have (through various means). Tuition costs... Number of approved residency slots... licensing BS... And as I mentioned earlier, allowing nurse practitioners to do their jobs. Why overpay for a doctor when it is something the nurses can do?

I understand how close this hits home for you so I’m not asking you to change your mind or anything ... and I love doctors. Great doctors. The best doctors. However, when we’re looking at the insane cost of healthcare in this country we really do need to look at the fact that we’re paying doctors more than double any other nation in world. Most doctors in this country end up being specialists, which is way different than any other country in the world as well. We need more general practitioners ... he’ll nurse practitioners can write scrips without supervision in most cases, IIRC... why do we need to bow to the hospital mafia exactly?

I find this hypocritical considering that Bernie Sanders plans to annihilate the poor and middle class with his health care plan. How can you like that but nitpick UBI like you do... lol An average family of 3 receives under $500 of assistance by the government. Upping that to 2k$ sounds like a win to me.
