Sixers had a big win over the Pacers (minus Danny Granger) last night even though they played pretty bad and had a ton of turnovers. Good to get a win over a decent team and increase our lead in the Atlantic. Kings tonight and then the Knicks on Wednesday in our first back-to-back-to-back of the year.

Matt Ryan is also 0-3 in the playoffs now with 3 TDs and 4 picks.

If we let him go we badly need a replacement wideout, either through the draft or FA because Avant and Cooper are not viable number two options and Steve Smith is likely gone. Alshon Jeffery and Michael Floyd appear to be the top wideouts who would be available around our draft position.

Giants Saints Broncos Ravens

Anyone else think Troy Polamalu is overrated? Supposed to be a big time playmaker but did not record a takeaway until Week 14 this season and was badly burned several times during the Broncos playoff game - on two of Thomas' big catches including the game winner and he bit badly on a move by Fels for a long gain. He is very good along the line of scrimmage but when asked to do anything in coverage I have noticed he is constantly out of position. Gambles too much looking for a big play and ends up getting beat.

So Browns fans think McCoy is done in Cleveland? I don't think he got a fair go - the team is a mess and he has never had very good receiving options to work with. If they have an opportunity to draft RGII do you think they go that route or possibly try and make a move for Matt Flynn this offseason?

Kobe has played well through his injuries, but the Lakers still have problems. Survived with a win over the Grizzlies last night but had way too many turnovers. There was an article on ESPN about how the Lakers had the most American white people in the NBA. Paraphrased - they aren't that good anymore.

Big name but how much money would he really get on the market? I think that we franchise him, he is too valuable to let go but he is not going to get the kind of Larry Fitzgerald deal that he wants and seems to think he deserves. And I doubt any team would give him that money either.

It was definitely time. Didn't get much time on the field anymore with the Steelers' plethora of talented young receivers. Great career for Ward though.

Just a general place to discuss whatever NBA games that are on. A couple thoughts on the season so far: -The Sixers are looking very good so far. 5-2 and first in the Atlantic with the #1 defense is points and fg%. Looks like this team is finally coming together, we will see for sure when they play the Pacers tonight. -Ricky Rubio is going to be a very good player in this league. It was reported that he did not have a shot at all but so far his scoring has not been a problem and his passing is as good as advertised. Whenever there is a Wolves game on TV I make sure to tune in. -The Heat look unbeatable early in the year. The Hawks stole a game from them earlier in the year but then could not win the next meeting when the Heat were without LeBron and Wade. Chris Bosh of all people took over to win it in OT.

Eagles made out big on this trade to get rid of Kolb. He proved this season that he is not a starter in this season and DRC looked good when he played on the outside this season (just was not made for the slot). To get a pick along with it will also be great. I think the Cardinals should monitor Peyton Manning's health and see if they can somehow acquire him this offseason. We all saw how getting Kurt Warner near the end of his career worked out for him, and Manning to Fitzgerald would be a scary duo.

A lot of those players were just never given fair opportunities (Nelson) or were hampered by injuries (Stafford, Cruz). All of them are good candidates for breakout players of the year. I would go with JPP because he elevated his game big time this season to become an elite DE who is great against the run and the pass. Wish the Eagles had taken him over Graham. Alex Smith still is not a very good QB, more due to the coaching that they are knowing his limits and he is playing within himself this season. Homer pick - McCoy showed that he has to be considered among the top three backs in the league now. Forte and Fred Jackson also had great seasons before they got injured.

The only problem I have with the teams is Pouncey at center. I think Jason Kelce had a better year than him on one of the best offensive lines in the NFL.

Broncos and Texans.

What a great game. Tomlin got outcoached - the Broncos had ran on 21/22 first downs in the game and the first play of over time the Steelers stack the box showing the infamous "Cover 0" look and the Broncos air it deep. Ike Taylor played terrible throughout the entire game and with Tebow playing the game of his life that was a recipe for disaster for the Steelers.
