    NBA 2012 Regular Season Thread

Pacers have the #1 Rebounding and #2 Defense in the NBA (been alternating between 1 and 2 this season) but have the #29 Offense. As I'm talking smack with a good friend of mine (Knicks fan) about the game tonight he proceeds to give me the excuse "Well we don't have Melo right now"... We haven't had Danny Granger all year and we're 3 games behind #1 seed. So, what's that say? Go Pacers!

Garcon. Shoulda benched Megatron, who woulda thunk it? http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/8934/30363037.png Meh, at least it wasn't my money league. Good week for 2011 Cam to show up

Yes, it is pretty obvious I'm not benching Megatron. But I figure I would paint an entire picture for you guys. Here's where I see the problem: RG3 is having a monster year in the air, it's been sort of overlooked because of his vickabilities to run plus he doesn't have a star wideout, and every game where Garcon is healthy he drops 17+ (17 in each of his last 2 games). Granted the Ravens don't give a lot of points to the WR's, but part of me thinks this is where RG3 will show everyone he can throw against the best. Between his running tactics and Morris showing some strong running this year that should keep the front 7 up front and the secondary watching for the run. If the front 7 stays forward, Garcon has been a kingpin on the deep slant this year, when he plays, and that will work wonders for the Skins offense. He's always RG3's first target in the red zone and I think that's where it will come into play. Reggie Wayne hasn't had a game without 3+ catches in 60 games, Colts are at home where Luck seems to gain some kind of magical powers where on the road he's just awful and he's against a terrible Titans defense. Wayne can be hit or miss but like Garcon, he's Luck's favorite red zone target by far. Jackson has been hot-cold all year. Last week 5 pts and the week before 9 pts. He's susceptible to giant games along with a horrible Philly defense. Since Freeman is far from a terrible QB, I see no definitive reason to bench him either. Same with Garcon, the defense will be watching for the run since Martin is apparently a freaking beast which will leave the middle open to exploit. Guess it will just depend how I feel tomorrow at 12:59 ;O. Leaning towards benching Garcon after the advice, but something tells me he'll have a pretty big game. Thanks for the halp gentz

Now, normally I don't typically ask for fantasy advice. Not to sound conceded or toot my own horn, but I like to think I'm pretty awesome at fantasy football. My teams always make playoffs and I've won 5 out of 13 possible championships. But, alas, here I am, stuck in quite the quandary. I have 4 pretty awesome WR's and I have zero clue who to bench. It's an ESPN league so I have WR/WR/FLEX available, I'm using the flex for a WR. My question to you guys is, who the hell do you bench here? Calvin Johnson Reggie Wayne Pierre Garcon Vincent Jackson I'm open to ALL suggestions. PS. Go Colts

can we really write Tennessee off?

The Titans wont go 9-7 lol. Bears, Texans, Packers all automatic losses which already puts you at 7-9 at best. maybe next time... edit: did not realize this was so old. teehee

    Chuck Pagano's postgame speech

Yeaaaaaaah buddy. and to think if our defense didn't blow a ridiculous 83yard-TD to CECIL FLIPPIN SHORTS AND BLANE "HOLYSHITBAD" GABBERT we'd have two loses, to Chicago and NYJ with a win over GB under our belts. News: they just bumped the 1pm IND @ NE game to 4:25pm. Recognition feels pretty damn good. chuckstrong

    DeMarco Murray for Larry Fitzgerald?

I would definitely not take this. Kolb is entirely too random for Fitz to be relied upon, Murray will continue to put up solid numbers as Romo's turnover problem continues.

    Jags @ Colts

Not surprised at all that our defense had, what, less than a minute to blow it and completely did. I think our D should just all sit in the middle of the field next time and all proceed to push as hard as they can and shit their pants. Honestly, I'm not even angry I had us winning a max of 6 games but expected about 4 or 5. But really, that last TD was a pathetic show by us

    Packers @ Seahawks

ROFL. This game was ridiculous. Entirely too many terrible calls and then the end just put it over the top. I'm really glad I got to see the last play I was at a bar with my friend and when Seattle turned it over on 4th and 3 in the Red Zone we left like "eh, GB won. Oh well". haha boy was I wrong.
  13. I'd say my season is going fairly well in my money league. 10 man, standard scoring, had 7th pick in draft, kept Brees from last year.
  14. $100 of my money says that AP, Foster, MJD and Forte(if he's ever healthy) would be fine if they were on the Titans. CJ is just not a great back, he had one incredible year and that was it. He wont ever lead the league in anything rushing related, unless it's a negative statistic, and his career will end up like TO, 85 and co. waiting for a team to give him another chance and he'll flop like a fish outta water.
