    Week 6 Pick 'Em

Lots of upsets this week, every Pick'em league I'm in everyone struggled, best records were 10-6, I went 7-9. Still can't believe i picked the Chiefs. Wanted to pick the Titans so bad, but they were so ass so far and I figured the Steelers had to finally get a road win. Should of learned after that Oakland L. Wanted to go Cleveland too, but figured after the Bengals dropped one at home to the Fins they'd bring their A game. Ugh. Good for Jacksonville though, We're now tied in the lead for the Geno sweepstakes.

    Post a pic of yourself...

me the other day at the barber shop Okay, I'm lying, but this is me showing off the goods: Okay, those two pics aren't me, but the rest are. I'll go in chronological order from dirt foot blonde bowl cut rat to the bearded malcontent I am now: It started off all innocent, blonde kid with big ears, vintage 90s bowl cut, and BasedSuperNintendo... Genesis of the menace... Fast forward to 18, full fledged stoner bro, married for a year until I figured out farming sucks... Got back to civilization, drank way too much, got fat for a year and set hand on fire... Started playing in bands, buzzed all the hair off, grew manlier beard then any of you could ever dream of... Started getting heavy into drugs, got very confused, started taking pictures of the insides of my nostrils because that's what I thought I was supposed to do... Did lots and lots of acid... Stopped doing drugs, got a job and regular girlfriend... Broke up with girlfriend because chicks are fucking insane. Went back to the drinking (but not because I'm depressed, totally not because of that, I swear, LOOK I'm cool, being alone is awesome, I'm totally fine, it's not about that... jeez... I'm serious, I'm not hiding anything! Fuck you! I don't have a drinking problem!) THE END.

What was the last movie you watched?

Watched Funny Games again. If you watch the original or American remake, they're the same movie, by the same director (a first, has to be.) Such a fucked up movie. Watch that and prepared to get angry, drop your jaw, and then angry again. @Phins, Yeah I enjoyed In Bruges a lot too. Good director. I've even watched a collection of his shorts. Looking forward to Psychopaths. @BradyFan, Cabin in the Woods was pretty genius actually IMO. Completely turned the horror genre around on it's head with that one. Such a wild concept. The surface of the movie is typical lame horror flick with cliche archetypes and then you figure out it's all because of this insane conspiracy. Absolutely wild, and the last 30 minutes or so are INSANE. INSANE. I had a free movie ticket back when that was in theaters. I went over the movies and really wasn't feeling any of them so I decided on Cabin just to say screw it. Went on my own and was absolutely pleasantly surprised. That has cult film written all over it.

Being a Fan Of Multiple Teams

I dunno, couldn't do it myself. One would always take precedent over the other. You said die hard Cowboys fan, and been a Raider fan since '05. So I'm guessing when the Cowboys and Raiders play, you root Cowboys? I'm a Jags fan (because I'm a saido-masochist), and I can't see myself rooting for any other team unless I want someone to win for my Pick'em, gambling, or for the Jags' best interest. I'm only 26, so the Jags became a team when I was 9, so I've pretty much grown up with them. Before then, I watched Packers' games with my dad because he was from Wisconsin. But I never rooted for them truthfully but my dad tried to make me a Packers fan around that age. I grew up in south Florida, and for some reason always hated the Dolphins and never gave a shit about the Bucs (who were a joke before '97 save for a couple fluke years in '79 and '81.) I mostly hated the Fins because I thought Marino was a whiny little girl. Which kind of gave me pleasure when the Jags retired him in 1999 in that 62-7 playoff blowout, which was also Jimmy Johnson's last time coaching. As I got older I learned to respect Marino for his skill and how good he actually was. As soon as the Jags came in the league, it was a new Florida team and they seemed tailor made for me to root for even though I still lived 8 hours from Jacksonville. One of the other reasons was Madden, funny enough. That sounds lame, but hey, I was a 9 year old. One of the players had my same last name on Jacksonville (He was drafted by the Jags, but had a short two year career due to injury, let's see if any Jags fans can guess the player? He started 6 games total and played in 17), so I thought it was cool and they were a decent team so I always played against my friends as Jax, and I never went back.

I really need a sarcasm font. I even said I ran out of jokes at the end my man! I agree, that ass looks ridiculous. I was joking the entire time...

    Ass Ass Ass Ass Ass

What are you talking about? That's completely natural. No way that's fake. That ass is totally real. When I picture my dream girl, I imagine having to pay for three seats when we ride on planes. I imagine an epidemic of shattered lamps and spilled drinks. I imagine having to claim not two, but three people on our census — even though no one else lives with us. I imagine never ever needing another pillow again in my life. I imagine... okay I ran out of jokes.

    7 SONGS TO STALK TO

Hey guys, I write periodically for a website named, "Street Boners and TV Carnage." Yes... that's the actual name. It's owned by one of the guys who founded Vice magazine if you've ever heard of that. Anyways, I just recently posted a new article on my own personal top seven songs to stalk girls to. It's a completely serious article and I totally work on my playlists for which I listen while stalking girls. I'm a legit stalker, and this is completely serious. Enjoy: http://www.streetbonersandtvcarnage.com/blog/58947/

    7 SONGS TO STALK TO

Also I made this around 8 months ago for the website after seeing this ridiculous late night commercial around Valentine's Day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USVtCIPm6Ok Ughhh... tried doing the ytube tag for the youtube video to show so you didn't have to go to the link. What gives?

    7 SONGS TO STALK TO

Check the comments under the article. It's easily the one everyone thinks about right away, so it was avoided like the plague. That's the same reason I left off Radiohead's "Creep" and went with a different one of their songs, since Thom Yorke is apparently a serial stalker. EDIT: Also, take note of my first post in this thread, "my personal."

Worst Starting QB from each division?

Luck is way better than Gabbert. Hasselbeck too. Locker is better but not as much as Luck and Hasselbeck. Gabbert is career backup. Locker might end up being that too but he's had very limited games starting. You just don't know yet with him, but at least he can make plays down the field. Gabbert has yet to throw over 260 yards, think about that for a second. Weeden, Locker, Luck, RGIII, Cam, Dalton, Tannehill... all these dudes have thrown for more than that, and most don't have close to the amount of games started as Gabbert. And I'm a Jags fan. #Geno-cide (instead of Suck for Luck, it's Geno-cide this year.) Do as the Colts did, let's get a stud at QB for once in Jacksonville. #TeamGeno

Teams that will be looking for QBs?

If the Jags continue play as is, and the schedule will get a lot tougher down the line, then Gene Smith is (thankfully) going to be fired. He's missed on way too many top 10 picks. He even in fact admitted that the Jaguars need more talent, you know, the precise job of the GM, the position he holds: http://www.bigcatcountry.com/2012/10/10/3484370/fire-gene-smith-jacksonville-jaguars-lack-talent There it is right from the horses mouth. He's basically admitting he's failed. I can't see any other result than a firing if the Jags don't inexplicably catch fire for the rest of the year. The only one that's panned out is Monroe, and Blackmon doesn't count via being a rookie and having a failed top 10 pick in Gabbert throwing to him. If Gene Smith is fired, and the Jags have the #1 pick this year, which seems quite likely, say hello to Geno Smith. Thank god too, Geno is a stud. Gabbert is a career backup. I rooted for the guy, he's improved just a little since last year (no more wincing in the pocket this year, and he'll take hits unlike last year.) But he still has poor eye level (when rush is near, he takes his eyes off down field and looks to scramble, usually into sacks), inconsistent accuracy (especially to his left), lacks deep ball accuracy, and his internal clock is way too fast (he checks down way too soon now, leaving plays on the field.) Geno could do for the Jags what Luck is doing for the Colts right now. This is the best case scenario for the Jags' future, one horrible season for a stud to build around for the next decade plus. Oh yeah, and Gene Smith will be gone, that's good for the future as well. Again, I've supported Gene Smith the past three years as he's been ragged by impatient fans, but he's had four years and the Jags are worse than when he started. That's automatic firing in my book. I just hope Khan is as smart of a businessman as he seems and makes the right decision. Hopefully since he's the 5th richest owner in the NFL he can throw some big money to lure an Eric DeCosta, a Kevin Colbert, or an Eliot Wolf away from the Packers. Those guys aren't likely however due to their circumstances and not wanting to leave successful franchises for an upstart in Jax, but the Jags need GMs who actually draft BPA, and not just talk about it like Gene Smith.

    A Game of Numbers

Knew who it was before i even got close to done with your first post. But yeah, he has improved year by year and was used wrong early in his career. It's known RBs (especially fast/quick guys like Bush) need a mass of carries for them to shine. They usually get 2 yards, 3 yards, -1 yards, 4 yards, then boom 40 yards, etc. Tannehill is surprising as well my dude, with that defense, and their upcoming schedule, Fins are a darkhorse for challenging for the wildcard this year. Coming into the year I thought they'd be one of the worst teams in the league. Instead, it was my team (Jacksonville.) *turns on Radiohead's "Pyramid Song" and slits wrists*

    TD Jacksonville 2013 Mock Draft

This is all coming from a guy who used to tell Anti-Gene Smith guys to chill too. I always exercised patience, and knew GM's fruits of their labor after rebuilds don't always show til around year 3-4. Well, it's year 4 and the Jags look worse than when he started (2009.) They've set two "worst" team records already in just 5 games (least yards gained against Texans, worst home loss ever last week against Bears.) Not good. His 1st round picks have all struggled (except for Monroe, who fell to him and is becoming one of the best LTs in football.) But other than that man... Alualu is not cutting it, Blaine looks woefully bad, but has improved marginally. Too early for Blackmon (also considering he has Gabbert throwing to him, but he's been reported to run lazy routes at times, like all Jags WRs not named Cecil Shorts.) As for other guys, Cox is legit as well (Brandon Marshall even admitted he whipped him in the first half Sunday, Marshall got the better of him in the 2nd however, but that's what happens when 2 good players go toe to toe.) Jennings is solid RB depth, could start on a few teams. But that's about it man. Not good. Oh, my bad, Bryan Anger is legit. But he's a punter. Gene has actually been better at Free Agents than the draft, and that's never a good sign. Poz is decent, Landry and Lowery are legit. Overall though, he's failed. The record doesn't lie this time. Time to admit mistakes, and move on to a better guy.

    TD Jacksonville 2013 Mock Draft

Thanks for the head's up. Yeah I was dying at the plagiarism comment. If I was plagiarizing I wouldn't of put it in quotes, I would of just typed it like it was my assessment. By the way, TD, the source is Eric C. Stoner. Here's the source for the info I quoted him on (forgot to add his name in the quotes because obviously I didn't quote from a poster here so it didn't add it for me:) http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/cfb/41560/321/under-pressure He's the video guy and writes for draftbreakdown, contributes to rotoworld, too. He's a film nut. He also coaches football I think, but for kids, so that doesn't mean much because there's a lot of stupid kids football coaches but he's young (in mid to late 20s) and that's where guys start out a lot of the time. He's been right on a few debatable guys from this recent draft (Bruce Irvin, Tannehill, Jarvis Jenkins to name a few.) He's a straight shooter, and usually good about identifying studs people don't big up. He misses sometimes like all people do but for the most part he's got a great eye and usually makes good calls on guys. Blaine's been getting coached wrong the entire time he's been in the NFL. I thought Olsen, Brat, and Mularkey would change that given their histories but I was wrong. They're making him scared to go down field and make mistakes. So thus he's checking down way faster than he should, his internal clock is messed up because of a bad offensive line, he's entering David Carr territory. If this doesn't change, he'll be a career backup as well, and might already be. We'll see how he finishes the year but he has miles to go. Oh, and if the Jags are drafting top 5 this year, then Gene Smith will be fired. Khan's not dumb, he knows good business, and Gene was resigned by Weaver before he sold the Jags to Khan. He's not Khan's guy, Khan has said publicly he's not scared to make decisions, and that will be one he has to make considering Gene's track record. The fans will clamor for his firing, and being Khan is trying to end tarps in JAX, he's likely to listen (but not purely because of fans, but everything considered, production, and fans/outside perception.) Once the new GM comes, Blaine is no longer the GM's guy, so with a top 5 pick there if Geno is available, best believe the new GM is going to likely get "his guy." Considering the new GM likes Geno that is. At least I hope to god he would, and not Matt Barkley. #TeamGeno Go Jags.
