I agree, that is true. And look at it this way, the more snaps a player plays, the more important he is to the team. The SLB is on the field less than every other defensive position, and even less than the fifth defensive back. Now the SLB position isnt necessarily a low value position in a 4-3, but it is a low value position in every defense where that player doesnt stay on the field on passing downs. But I'd like to see Watson win the job as well, I guess we'll see what happens.

So glad to see we finally have a legit #1 and #2 WR. He's clearly one of the better Bucs picks in every aspect,skill, health, attitude and he's also given us first round value for a fourth round pick..IMO! Lets get this man signed! I could see 5 years $32M...with maybe $12M or $13M guaranteed.

Cornerback! Esp in today's game. If anything this is evidenced by the lack of consistently dominant corners, especially compared to the wide receivers of today. Yeah, corners may not take the beating of a Line men, but their always at a disadvantage with a 6'5 200lb. WR that runs a 4.4 40 and is one of the best athletes in the League! And there's what...only 2-3 guys that have really been legit lock down corners on a regular basis over the last few seasons? I think its harder to succeed on a regular basis without both elite athletic ability and great technique. An athletic freak can get by with average technique at most positions, and a player without much athletic ability can get by if he's a technician at pretty much any position...now if a corner doesn't have the speed to keep up with and catch up to a #1 wideout, the fluid hips and footwork to be able to keep with them in and out of cuts, the upper body strength to press guys at the line AND reasonably decent ball skills to be able to locate the ball in the air and make a play, he's never going to be anything more than a borderline #2/nickel corner...

I agree with RGS and Bucman, it would be between Von Miller and Richard Sherman....and I think I would have to go Von Miller just for the fact, that we lack in pass rush!

Agree! Yep,Bostad is familiar with Carimi after coaching him at Wisconsin. Hopefully Bostad can get something out of Carimi that the Bears' OL coaches have not been able to get...he was a 1st round pick so he definitely has the potential and talent to be a quality starter, or even a back up if someone goes down. And we gave up virtually nothing to get him, so it’s worth taking a chance on him. Good pick up!

Welp...was more than likely due to his persistent knee problems, he really never came close to being a productive player since his release from NY. Good luck to him and the rest of his endeavors. Now I think the 3rd WR spot is between Underwood and Ogletree. Also look out for this guy we brought in..Eric Page. He was pretty productive at Toledo and he could be an impact at slot receiver for us once he gets coached up some...

IDK...dont know if it will help any.. I agree the injuries have hurt him, and from what I've been reading he was already on the bubble, but maybe they'll let him work through it if they feel he is good enough to make the cut. TBH, I think he'll be released. But we'll see!

Pewter Report has updated their story noting that Penn met his weight clauses for the 2012 season, but that he missed some prior to 2012...this doesn't necessarily contradict their earlier report, but it does make the implication that Penn is on the hot seat because of his weight pretty sketchy. CBS Sports has noted the same thing, and also added that Donald Penn is on schedule to meet his weight clauses this offseason and the Bucs are satisfied with his weight right now. So...that's good news, and it lines up with Penn's own statement that he's in great shape.
