    Predict the Season 2015

Falcons underdogs, yet again. I know they don't do themselves any favors every year, however, a lot of the fans think Mike Smith was the reason Atlanta always seemed to underperform throughout his tenure. I love the 6-3 start you gave them, but I tend to think that they'll have a stronger second half of the season. I've tempered my personal expectations at a mere 8-8, I think we've had a decent enough offseason to give Carolina a run for their money in the NFCS. Also, no way in heII the pats or giants finish 12-4.

Who Does Your Team Play Out of Position?

Kroy Biermann should strictly be an OLB in a 3-4 look and should be off the field in any other situation. He constantly gets washed out of plays as a DE and he is terrible at coming off of a block.

    Predict Your Team's 2014 Record

I would switch a few of those around and probably throw in an extra L to Arizona. 10-6 seems to be a realistic, yet optimistic, scenario for ATL, IMO.

    Dynasty of the 10's?

I like your style. I could see it happening if our young talent pool lives up to their lofty expectations.

    Dynasty of the 10's?

Fuck, I hope it's Atlanta. I don't think it will be, but if Matt Ryan can somehow step up into another level, then I think we'll be good to go. Our FO does a decent job of plugging in FA vets where and when needed. We have a lot of youth with a mountain of potential. Our new OC & DC look to be excellent additions for us and in developing/using our talent effectively. We'll see, though.
  6. What current player in the league right now would you take as a coach in 2014 and why? I'll start with the obvious. Peyton fucking Manning. Dude's a genius. He probably knows just as much about defenses as he does offenses. Obviously he may have a bit of trouble conveying said knowledge to his players, but I think he is arguably the greatest mental QB of all time. Who you got?
  7. 12 wins on the high end. 9 wins on the low end. Probably end up somewhere in the middle. I'm thinking 10-6 with a wildcard berth.

    State Your Team's Case

Many people forget this fact. If we would've been able to put together any sort of run game in the playoffs last year, I think our ending would've been different.

    Buy or Sell

Gotta sell. Too tough at DT. B/S: Browns have a top 10 defense.

    State Your Team's Case

Ok, I'll give this a go... Offense: 1. We got younger and bulkier on the OL. Experience leaves a bit to be desired, I won't refute that, but we have guys like Lamar Holmes at 6'6" 320+ who will be competing for jobs on the OL. 2. We upgraded our running game significantly in SJax... If this guy has a season at 80% of his normal production, we upgraded over Turner. 3. Julio entering his 3rd year at WR when a lot of WRs find their true stride. Gonzalez is back. Roddy. And we drafted a 6'8" TE in Levine Toilolo who has a 31" vert and 34.5" arms. There may come a time where Ryan can just throw 12 foot high jump balls at the back of the endzone and we'll actually have a guy who can catch those. 4. Our OC Dirk Koetter has shown his propensity to be a great play caller and I think this second year in his system, we will see even more great things from him. 5. Matt Ryan has continuously gotten better each year that he's been in the league. Defense: 1. We traded in an aging Abraham for a younger Umenyiora, and reports out of OTAs are that he's fitting in perfectly. 2. We drafted two young CBs in Trufant (4.38 40) and Alford (4.39) who look like they could arguably be an upgrade to what we already had in Dunta (shitty coverage skills) and an injured Grimes. Robert McClain had 11 PD and a pick against Peyton Manning in a VERY limited role. Then we have Asante Samuel who's been as good as advertised for us, in many ways. 3. One of our best DTs in Corey Peters looked like he bulked up in the offseason and won't be coming off of a leg injury this year. We basically got younger on DL with the loss of Abe and the addition of our draft picks. 4. Mike Nolan..... Not enough can be said about his role in our defense. Last year, Atlanta was 5th in scoring defense. We held Seattle to 0 points through the first 20 minutes of the NFC divisional round game and also shut out the 9ers through the first quarter of the NFCCG. All in all, we are loaded on offense and our defense looks to be trending up. We had an easy schedule last year, and this year will prove to be a whole lot tougher with the NFCW, GB, Tom Brady, and RG3 on the schedule. We start off the season in NO against our most heated rivals. We'll find out, immediately, what this team can do.
  11. I understand trying to expand the league's appeal and all, but actually moving a team to London would be kinda shitty, IMO. For starters, you're making that team jump the pond 8 times a year. That kind of puts them at a disadvantage. Depending on where you're coming from, we could be talking upwards of 15+ hours in the air. I believe the two teams who travel to the London game every year get a bye on the following week, I'm guessing that'll stop. Then there's the fans that you'll alienate here in the states. I guess an extensive cost/benefit analysis is being done (or whatever) to see if this thing is feasible. Personally, I'm not a fan.
  12. If I'm not mistaken, no NFC South team has ever won back to back division titles. History doesn't bode well for us.

Players Who Never Met Their Potential

It's a shame because we all saw what he was actually capable of doing for a brief stint back in 2010, where he looked really, really good. He has a cannon of an arm and speed for a QB that you would never believe unless you saw it, so the talent is undoubtedly there. He just never seemed to get his head all the way into the game. I'll always hate him for how he left us here in ATL, but it did garner in a new era for us.
