Bull. We played well and were better than Houston for most of that game. The joke was giving the Texans another shot at a TD when we didn't break the rule that drew the flag. But that's fine- most people are going to talk shit regardless. We were supposed to lose by double digits and we get jobbed by a bad call and lose by 3 and we choked... yeah. I'd love to hear the reaction if Denver lost a game by 3 when a bad call gifted the other team 4. Guessing it would be more about the officiating than choking. You were up by 21 points at one point, it was more than just one bad call.

    Texans @ Chargers

They had a chance to put the NFL on notice tonight, but instead they choke in epic fashion for the 2nd year in a row. I don't think they were bad tonight, they may be good this year, but losing like this has got to take a toll on you eventually. I don't expect them to rebound very well next week against Philly.

    Ravens @ Broncos

There is a set standard for what a good pass rush is in the NFL. As a group our d-line comes no where near that, I understand that our top 4 d-linemen will not be a good pass rush. They were better than I anticipated last night so they did a pretty good job. You claimed it was a concern, the only things that concern me are the things that can cost us games and our pass rush wasn't going to cost us this one nor do I think it'll cost us any of the next 5 games. The pass rush was the least of our problems last night. 8 penalties is too much, I think we had 5 dropped passes and that's way too many, Beadles letting Manning get wrecked, these are things that concern me.

lololololol I never even called our pass rush good, all I said was that it was better than you were making it out to be. You said it was a concern, our pass rush is in no way a concern. That was by far the best offensive line we'll see in Von's suspension and our pass rush was good enough to not cost us the game so how is it a concern? And it isn't like these guys are topped out, a lot of these young players will likely improve as the season goes on. Even if they don't our secondary is good enough to carry our pass rush and get quite a few coverage sacks a game but I bet you think that statement is outrageous too.

I'm not saying it wasn't bad to start out, but compared to what we did in the postseason last year with Dumervil and Miller, it was better.

Broncos to start Moreno vs Ravens?

Montee Ball looked like our best runner last night. 6 of his carries came towards the end of the 4th quarter when we were trying to drain the clock so of course his ypc is going to suffer, Baltimore knew we were going to run it. I'd love to see what he can do early in the game when we aren't so predictable. Moreno continued to look like a plodder, didn't see as much power as I wanted to see from him either. He was pretty good in protection and looked good as a receiver. Hillman is the only real speedy guy we have. He looked ok, but it's hard to get to the edges on a 3-4 defense so he wasn't going to be able to show much regardless.

    Bware's Upset Scenarios: Week 1

lol what? Manning has thrown the ball like that his whole career. If they haven't figured it out by now, they never will.

    Bware's Upset Scenarios: Week 1

All I've been hearing about is Baltimore, the Aaron Hernandez story, and how Amendola is going to do better than Welker. The only things I've heard from the press has been about all of our arrests/suspension.

    Ravens @ Broncos

None of it was bullshit, you just don't want to give us credit. It's cool I'd probably be that way if I was a Chargers fan too lol Yes he was getting a clean pocket quite a bit early, but we got at least one hit on him every drive before Oher went out. No one is saying our pass rush was perfect, but you're making it out like it was garbage, when it wasn't nearly that bad. Idk if you know this or not but teams generally don't get as much pressure in the 1st quarter as they do later in the game anyway. The fact of the matter is our defense made a lot of plays in the backfield. We had 10 TFL, 4 sacks, and 8 QB hits total in the game against a very solid o-line.

Lol the announcers were cracking me up all night, almost every time they said we weren't getting pressure on Flacco we had just hit him earlier in that same drive. On Flacco's first INT Shaun Phillips hit Flacco. On Torrey Smith's first catch Ayers hit Flacco after he beat Oher with a bull rush. We got a good 4 or 5 shots on Flacco before Oher went out. On the coverage sack, Flacco started to roll out because the interior of his o-line was pushed back, he didn't have enough room to step up and take a shot like he wanted to so he had to roll out or the DTs were going to get him. He probably would have had more time if he just stayed in the pocket though. Overall it isn't like we were playing a bad offensive line, this was a very good offensive line and we were a pretty good job before Oher went out, particularly on the interior. We lack a true speed rush right now, but our guys can make QBs uneasy.

    Ravens @ Broncos

It wasn't as bad as people are making it out to be. Ayers did get a sack, our DTs were pushing the pocket into Flacco. We may not have got a lot of sacks early on but there was definitely some pressure getting to Flacco.

    Bware's Upset Scenarios: Week 1

Losing Oher hurts, but lets not act like Jacoby Jones is some elite WR that is a difference maker on offense because he isn't. I actually thought Marlon Brown did better anyway, even if he did let the 5'9" Tony Carter get the best of him at times. Whether he was in or not, the outcome was not going to change because of Jones. You can make the case for Oher, but I think we still probably come out with the W. Because lets face it, Oher wasn't going to go out there and cover our WRs. Their defense definitely needs time to gel and they'll get better. But that secondary is the weak link. Webb didn't look good last night coming off of his ACL injury. He was gassed early on and I'm not sure he's over the mental part of tearing his ACL yet, he looked very shaky out there whenever he cut. Corey Graham got abused last night, he's a solid NCB though. Smith was ok, don't like him against good route runners. Replace Huff asap. If Dumervil, Suggs, and the rest of the d-line don't get to the QB, they're going to struggle. Lucky for them not every team is going to have as good of OTs as we do. Now if only Beadles would stop sucking

    Bware's Upset Scenarios: Week 1

Oh the irony, I'm sure it must suck having to repeat yourself considering you were probably saying this same exact thing about John Elway 15 years ago

DRC was only thrown at once, JDR is going to get a lot out of him this year.

How many sacks do we need to get before our pass rush isn't a concern?
