It's true. 30 is on the horizon, but the aches and pains already last longer than they used to. It also takes me longer to recover from exercise than it did in my early 20's. In that respect, feelsbadman. On the other hand, my ability to get shit done and get it done well has skyrocketed. I'll take that trade.

Bware, I totally get where you're coming from with the responsibility aspect of this... but don't you agree that it would be irresponsible to have a child if you think you won't be able to handle it?

What's your favorite Trump nickname? Even if you like him, you have to admit it's fun to bust on him. My personal favorite is Mango Mussolini.

So what is the greatest document ever written then? Does your single example ruin the entire Constitution? If so, why?

Lmao, one of the better memes in a while.

I'm glad you brought this up, even though I disagree with it. You have said it before yourself: telling poor white people they are priviledged is a tough sell, and accomplishes nothing more than widening the divide between black vs white, liberal vs. conservative, me vs. you. Maybe that's intentional? Poor people are fucked no matter what race they are. Poor people of all races would be wise to stop pointing the finger at each other and point it where it really belongs.

I didn't say controversial, did I, blots? I said illogical, overused, and divisive. I think my point was proven immediately, as you put him on the defensive instead of trying to understand what he was really saying. It's not about being sensitive. Nobody ever asked you to be sensitive. You got run out of here before for being a swaggerless chump when it comes to politics... which is a shame, because you're a swell guy otherwise. I hope you don't repeat those same mistakes.
-
So instead of asking him to further elaborate or ask him questions about what he said, you do nothing but drop the most illogical and overused not to mention divisive liberal talking point in existence? You went away for a while. I was hoping you would come back a little different. I am sad to see my expectations were too high. You haven't changed a bit.

Isn't it a good thing to be able to admit someone you don't like did something pretty good for a change? I've been against Trump from the beginning, and still am. I just feel that it's dishonest to act as if every luttle thing he does is wrong. I still dislike his stances on immigration and the environment for example, and the Iran Deal, well... we're going to feel the consequences of that for a while, unfortunately. I am disappointed that open mindedness is apparently a bad thing to you.

Yea, how old were you when you posted this for the first time?

My trip to Colombia is coming up very soon. I want to keep a detailed account of the things I experience while I'm there teaching English for a year (but maybe longer if I like it!) I plan to use this thread to document my experiences with food, music, language, my job, sports, the city/country itself, general cultural differences, and, of course, women. I'll post detailed thoughts about the things I like, the things that confuse me, and the things that frustrate me. I'm sure I'll have more than enough material for all three. I'll also post pictures of foods, bars, women, cultural events, natural scenery, and more. Pictures will often be able to explain things I can't quite put into words. And though my Spanish is quite good relatively speaking, I am going to struggle a lot in the beginning. I suspect it will take me a good 6 months to really get my legs under me with the language. To that end, I expect the first half of the trip to be a lot more difficult and confusing than the second half. As my language skills improve, so will my social circle and the opportunities available to me. Also, I will definitely answer any questions you guys have that I don't cover in my posts. Don’t hesitate to ask the tough questions! This is going to be the greatest learning experience of my life. So, the more critical thinking I do, the better.

It's been over 2 years, and I'm happier than ever to be here. Today I got approved for a 3-year visa.
