      LOL!--not very well, i am mostly self taught..guess you saw the video, and my fumblings in explaination..long story short, i counted that entire riff like an 8/8,(2 patterns of 4 notes 16ths) and then, counted the last 2 like 16th notes, minus 2 notes, therefore the second set of chords are minus 2 16ths, or 1/8 combined, therefore 7/8..I am NOT a drummer, and I was asking for help!..is 7/8ths wrong?..tell me if so..

      but it is def not 4/4...and i programmed my drum machine in 7/8, and it fit..but my pattern was uncreative to be kind to myself..
