The Dolphins have won four of their last five home games against the Patriots. For his career, Tom Brady is 1-5 in December road games against Miami, compared to 25-2 in all other December road games.

With a win, New England would clinch its 10th straight division title, extending its own NFL record. This would also set a new NFL record for consecutive playoff berths (10) and tie the NFL record for consecutive 10-win seasons (16, tying the 1983-98 49ers).

Last week, the Dolphins beat Buffalo 21-17 despite being outgained 415-175. Miami is 2-1 this season when being held below 200 total yards, while the rest of the NFL is 1-11 combined in such games.

The Dolphins have gone 6-1 in one-possession games, tied for the most such wins in the NFL, but 0-5 in all other games. Meanwhile, the Patriots have played just three one-possession games all season, fewest in the NFL, and have won all three.

Tom Brady has thrown for at least 250 yards in nine straight games, tied for the second-longest streak in franchise history, behind a 12-game streak by Brady in 2015. However, Brady has just four touchdown passes over his last five games, his fewest in any five-game span since 2013.

Ryan Tannehill is 3-1 at home against the Patriots in his career, throwing seven touchdown passes to just one interception. In road games against the Patriots, Tannehill is 0-6 with five TDs and 10 INTs.

Tom Brady is something like 7-10 in Miami in his career or something.  Gotta love the Dolphins.

A good fluky loss for the second seed in the AFC. It's a shame that the only way the Patriots miss the post season is losing out, and that just won't happen.
