BC 331 Posted February 1, 2019 Thats a load of horseshit. Aint no way you can pull an all nighter and then play football as grown men you smack the shit out of each other for a living. The body doesn't work that way. Your metabolism and digestive systems can't function properly like that. Muscle mass deteriorates and you any muscle tissue that is torn from lifting weights your body won't repair it at all without sleep and you'll continue to be sore without reaping any of the benefits. Even if your body didn't physically deteriorate, your brain wouldn't be able to function fast enough to beat a Super Bowl contender. No way does that work. Your reaction time would be 2-3 times slower than after a night of 9 hours of sleep which is what you need in instances like this where you're pushing your body to its highest physical and mental capacity possible which is what this lifestyle would require.
Zack_of_Steel+ 3,014 Posted February 2, 2019 You know the Super Bowl is played at night, right? 1
Thanatos 2,847 Posted February 2, 2019 One of the funniest things on these forums is that BC thinks he knows anything about physical requirements just because he goes to the gym. Your muscle mass is going to deteriorate over one night of missed sleep? Please. 3
BC 331 Posted February 6, 2019 Going to bed 8 hours before the game kicks off doesn't work. The body can't do it. Its not rocket science dude and you're not very smart. You gotta be up 4 hours minimum to go through consuming a meal or two, allowing time to digest, stretch, warm up, do a few drills. Don't believe everything you read on the internet. Just because you won't be at 100% doesn't mean you will literally fall apart. Obviously it wasn't smart of them, but its not absurd or anything.
FartWaffles 1,857 Posted February 7, 2019 Kenny Stabler was known to party all Saturday night and still get going to play on Sundays on a regular basis. When he played for the Oilers, my dad witnessed it himself at a bar where Stabler was basically blackout drunk the night before a game. BC stahp.
