RazorStar 4,025 Posted March 19, 2011 Coaches would rather have late round receivers because they aren't diva's and actually have fundamentals. And you know what else? I liked the Brandon Burton pick too.
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted March 19, 2011 I really like the value of picking Greg Jones. With Rolando McClain already in place as MIKE, Jones can pressure Quentin Groves for the starting WILL spot.
seanbrock 1,684 Posted March 19, 2011 Greg Jones looked HORRIBLE at the senior bowl. HORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIBLE. I'd be surprised if he gets taken by the 5th round at this point.
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted March 19, 2011 One bad Senior Bowl doesn't erase all his tape from Michigan State. And make your pick; you're on the clock.

DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F 2,241 Posted March 20, 2011 way too early for Moffit IMO...
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted March 20, 2011 (edited) way too early for Moffit IMO... I would tend to agree. He is pretty over rated, IMO. He is not nearly as good of a run blocker as people think he is. EDIT Just made my pick. Probably a bit of a reach. He could have been there in the 4th.. and maybe even later. But I wasn't taking the risk. Great athlete, and a mauler in the run game. I had him above Moffitt, and with him coming off earlier than expected, I had to pull the trigger, maybe a bit earlier than I wanted. Sarge+ 3,436 Posted March 20, 2011 I shoulda jumped on this on 2nd thought, Seahawks not lookin too good in here. You do realize you probably set Seattle back at least 3-5 years with your retarded draft last year, right? Not to mention you took forever to make your picks. Let it sink in that even Bangy is a better drafter than you, and kindly stfu when it comes to all things draft-related. There were no CB or S available at either spot that would have warranted selections over who I took.

There were no CB or S available at either spot that would have warranted selections over who I took. To be honest I have had a really good draft with both teams imo. Saints now have Kerrigan who is going to beast on the line with Rogers and Ellis. The production of that whole line would go up even Wilkerson should do well. I filled a major need at running back with the #1 rated RB in the draft in the 2nd round, Ingram and Thomas would fuck shit up and then filled a need in getting Moch. Seeing as the Saint's are a 4-3 team it's all about speed over size an Moch fits that bill for sure, plus he has the talent and drive to get to the backfield add to that with 4.25 speed. Miami got their fanchise QB, I know Newton is hated and he will need a season to sort himself out but once he is set in Miami and the NFL he will be fine. Also managed to get Ryan Williams in the third and the powerback should work well with who ever they rotate in with him.

Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted March 21, 2011 Epic Win. Not only are the Bears going to suck now under Jay Cutler. But they are going to suck for the next two decades with Andy Dalton. Epic Win, WindyCity. One of the best selections of this draft.

Bangy 19 Posted March 21, 2011 Dear WindyCity The people here at The Gridiron Palace would just like to ask you one question regarding your pick of Andy Dalton so early in this draft. Are you BC in Disguise? Please reply quickly Yours Bangy

Vin+ 3,121 Posted March 22, 2011 Yeah, I think most places have Dalton ranked as a 2nd or 3rd round pick, so it's not that bad of a pick IMO.

I don't think it was a reach where Andy Dalton was drafted, but Chicago has much more pressing needs than quarterback IMO.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted March 23, 2011 (edited) I don't think it was a reach where Andy Dalton was drafted, but Chicago has much more pressing needs than quarterback IMO. Yeah, and a quite a few of them at that. Not only would Dalton not see the field right away (which is probably a +), but he wouldn't see the field for maybe up to 10 years or so. Cutler is still only like 27. AND... Caleb Hanie proved that he is able to play the position... So... I really think taking Dalton is unnecessary. Vin+ 3,121 Posted March 23, 2011 It might be unnecessary, but it's not like he took someone in the third who was going to be undrafted.
