Randy Moss wants to be a Patriot again

Recommended Posts

Appearing on radio station KFAN 1130 in Minneapolis, free agent Randy Moss renewed his pitch to re-join the Patriots for the 2011 season.

"If you ask me where my heart and where I'm happy is," said Moss. "I love Tom Brady and I love playing for coach Belichick." Moss also indicated that he "still has love" for Minnesota and "would love to come back" to the Vikings now that Brad Childress is gone. We can safely say that isn't happening, but it will be interesting to see if Belichick considers Moss at a bargain rate if the free agent fails to draw interest.

Moss says he wants to go back to Pats

If WR Randy Moss had his druthers, he’d be playing, once again, in New England for coach Bill Belichick. That’s what he told KFAN-1130 in Minneapolis (via the Tennessean) this morning.

“I would love to come back to Minnesota. But I don’t know what they have in place,’’ Moss told the radio station. “But if you ask me where my heart is … I am a big fan of Bill Belichick, I really am, and not just on the field. I am a fan of his off the field because the little grouchy man you see on camera is not what you see off the camera.

“If you ask me where my heart and where I am happy is, I love playing with Tom Brady and I love being coached by Bill Belichick.â€

That said, he also declared that he wasn’t in the best state of mind after the Vikings released him and he signed with the Titans.

“By me being dropped, I think I went into depression a little bit but I had to suck it up and had to be a man,’’ Moss said. “I have mouths to feed so I had to really take everything in stride and go to Tennessee and try and make things work.

“I wasn’t playing much and they wasn’t putting me on the field. But I had to put my feelings aside and keep playing football.â€

For now, Moss wants to keep playing. Well, not RIGHT now. Right now, Moss has money to win (he is, after all, a free agent and the NFL isn’t exactly paying people right now).

“Right now,’’ he said, â€I’m getting ready to take my behind to the casino and sit down and play some slots.â€

Fixed.

So? He wants to play with arguably the best organization, owner, coach, and QB in the NFL? Wouldn't you?

Nope

Please.

I hope Moss gets to go back to NE. He doesn't have too much longer and he deserves to leave as a Patriot. He has competed in the Super Bowl with them and holds records while in their jersey. He's just gotta be ready to get lesser money than what he's used to.

In addition to the Patriots and Vikings, free agent Randy Moss expressed an interest in joining the Seahawks and Browns.

"I just want somebody to respect what I do," Moss said. "I just like loyalty, and I want that around me. Whoever wants me, that's where I'm going to play at." It's no coincidence that Moss mentioned Seattle and Cleveland, two teams with glaring needs for a wideout upgrade. Neither team will be his first choice, but they could end up as viable fallback plans if he fails to generate free-agent interest.

Dear Randy Moss,

Stay away from Cleveland and the metro area or I will castrate you with a pair of scissors.

Pats aren't bringing you back, Randy. Deal with it.

I will be honest with you IF Jones goes to the #1 WR route and we lose him I still would love Randy to come to Green Bay. Driver, Moss, Jennings and Nelson would be such a sick combo.

I'd grab him if I were Belichick. Cheap, and somebody defenses would definetely have to watch out for. I have no interest in him from a Seattle perspective.

Yo Randy, I'm real happy for you and Imma let you finish, but the Hoodie is one of the greatest coaches of all time. He let you go for a reason...he ain't bringing you back.

Hey Randy: Kansas City, anyone?

He'd be a great fit opposite D-Bowe. He's definitely an upgrade from Chris friggin Chambers. Chambers hasn't been good since he was in Miami.
