Bucs @ Chiefs

Recommended Posts

Game is on FOX so I am pumped. Can't remember the last time I watched a pre-season Buc game not on a stream. So happy Buccaneer football is back! beerchug2.gif

I feel the same way, living in TX, it's hard to catch Chiefs games on TV. Can't wait to see the new bloods on the field.

Yep, same here. Let's just hope for no injuries and a good game.

Some guys on the Bucs I will be keeping an eye on today are:

WR Dezmon Briscoe

WR Raymond Webber

Entire starting D-line

RB Allen Bradford

LB Tyrone McKenzie

CB EJ Biggers

LB Mason Foster

I really wanted to watch this one... But probably going to miss all of it because of work. :(

DVR it, if you have NFL network, I'm fairly sure they'll re-air it.

I was hoping to see Justin Houston work, but I'll have to wait till next week probably.

this is the first time that i could remember a Chiefs preseason game being on national tv since the Priest Holmes days.

Can't wait. I'm hoping to see most of our starters play for at least two drives.

would be good if the Chiefs do this as well.

Oh my god, I forgot the Chiefs have Sabby Piscitelli. I can't wait to see Blount run over his ass.

lol

well, so much for our depth.

I doubt he makes your roster. I'm sure you guys will find someone better than him. Sabby is athletic, but that's it. He can't cover and is one of the worst tacklers I have ever seen.

I noticed both Page and Pollard recorded an INT last night, and I saw Pollard giving VY a rough time....I'm not a fan of McGraw, and now, I'm not looking forward to Sabby.

I really hope Ahmad Black can makes some splashes in the preseason because he apparently is doing too much thinking etc. during camp. The guy is so talented...once he gets the speed and playbook down and gets back to just playing. There is no way in hell he makes it to our PS and stays there...someone will snatch him up...I would really hate that.

I luckily get the Bucs down here in AZ on the tube as well. I'm very excited for tonight.

I'll be watching all of them closely also, as well as Lee and Trueblood.

I forgot about that too lol hopefully we get to see them go head-to-head. If not Blount I wouldn't mind seeing Bradford knock him on his ass as well, that guy runs very hard.

Forgot to include them in my list of who to watch for. I've heard the battle has been pretty even through TC. I wonder if one of them will stand out tonight. I'm rooting for Lee, at least he is disciplined.

Don't know what the Chiefs fans are seeing/thinking, unless they are just hoping he'll be good. I mean I guess he could have gotten better, but when he was with the Bucs he was god awful. And I think every Bucs fan here would agree with me on that.

I'm rooting for Lee to do well enough he can take over as well. I don't think I can take another season of Trueblood ruining perfectly good drives with his idiotic penalties.

Could be, maybe he's just a body to keep the starters rested during the preseason....like the kickoff specialist they signed to save Colquitt's leg for regular season.

Piscatelli on the Chiefs... Yes, that will be awesome!!!

Can't wait for the game. Off-season always feels longer after a promising, but unrewarding season.

The starting offense looked great. The offensive line gave Freeman and JJ plenty of time to go through their progressions. Granted, the Chiefs didn't play Hali, Gregg or Dorsey but I still liked what I saw out there. Blount was running very well, as was Lumpkin. We even saw Blount's development as a 3rd down back.

Mason Foster looks to be a steal for us. He was very instinctive, quick and jacking guys up. It looks like he is going to work out better than we expected. I'm very excited to see what this kid is going to do for us. I also liked what I saw out of Sean Jones on D. I saw Clayborn's explosiveness on a couple of plays which was very impressive.

On the offensive side again, as far as the backups, Hardy played well. Michael Spurlock looks like he can be a reliable WR in 4 and 5 receiver sets.

I still don't like what I saw from our run defense. Other than Foster, guys weren't too instinctive and Thomas Jones was shredding us early. I couldn't single out the weakness in our run defense but its still there.

I'm fairly certain that Hali and Gregg played...not sure about Dorsey.

Mark my words... Ricky Stanzi is going to be a great QB in this league... And yes, I can tell that even though he got sakced like 10 times and had no time to do anything.
