Why did your team win/lose this week?

Recommended Posts

We lost because:

-Both our O-line and D-line played very sloppy

-Number of turnovers was the same as our number of points

-We let Ray Rice have 100+ yards

-Roethlisberger had 3 int

great defensive play (particularly Finnegan) and apparently Matt Hasselbeck can still throw the ball, also some great plays by our receivers, Britt is really turning into a stud and it's nice to see our perennial potential breakouts in Lavelle Hawkins and Jared Cook may finally be coming on

Tom Brady continues to play exceptionally against great defenses; the offensive line looked fantastic; the TE's & WR's made big plays, especially Gronkowski with his two TD's; the run game was effective when needed; the defense came up with a ton of turnovers, especially when it counted.

Dallas won because Romo went clutch and did it under some serious pain. Dude's a warrior.

Atlanta won because Matt Ryan finally got the call to go no-huddle with HIS offense.

Oh, and because our defense broke the glass Mike Vick.

Good defensive adjustments and avoiding turning the ball over except for that one Hillis fumble. We were putting it in the endzone when they were kicking field goals. Not the prettiest win, but I'll happily take it.

This is always a fun topic to have throughout the season. Celebrate the strengths of your team after a win or blame the refs after a loss. Have at it!

Eagles won this week because:

-Despite playing sloppy, the Rams played sloppier.

-Our run defense tightened up big time in the second half.

-Our offense is pretty good.

Panthers lost this time because Cam Newton tried to force some throws, the front seven got gashed by the Packers' running game, and the secondary blew some deep coverage assignments resulting in Packers touchdowns.

Because our qb went all RYAN FITZPATRICK on 'em.

Because our defense was actually ready for this game and it was against Tavaris Jackson.

Saints won this week because the Defense played their best game and sacked Cutler I-don't-know-how-many-times. When Greg Williams' defense play top of their game, Saints offense takes the game! And special teams were good too. Saints have always had good Special Teams though, even during the 40 years we never won anything.

Carolina lost because of one stat.

Total Rushing Yards Combined from Williams and Stewart: 18 yards on 11 carries.

Yes, you can blame the four turnovers on offense. Yes, you can blame Newton for forcing some throws, though without him we'd never have had a chance to pull off the upset. But 18 total rushing yards, outside of the QB scrambling for 53, is absolutely and completely unacceptable.

Having Newton pass the ball FORTY SIX times against the defending Super Bowl Champion's defense is ASKING for interceptions to happen. Absolutely livid at Chudzinski, (Our OC), after Sunday's game. You threw the entire ball-game on the rookie's shoulders, and damn if he didn't almost pull it off. But where the hell was our run-game?

Play selection was something like 50/15 Pass to rush, considering that half of those QB rushes were on passing plays where he ran. That's just f%$#%^$ ridiculous. We weren't playing catch-up the whole game, hell we had the lead until the 3rd quarter. Why the hell does Newton throw 46 times against that caliber of a defense when we were leading or within one score, until two minutes left in the 4th?

Cassel can't read defenses, Haley, poor tackling, and poor ball control.

Review.....repeat....

oh, you know. Brady decided to throw 4 interceptions and allow the Bills recover from a 21 point deficit. Nothing out of the usual.

Sloppy play through 3 quarters and then the G Men just out played us and put us away in the 4th.

another great passing game from Hasselbeck (one crazy stat is that 11 players had at least one catch) and a solid performance by the defense, but CJ really needs to get on track, there are problems when your leading rusher is your punter

-First and foremost, the Giants outplayed us.

-A lot of stupid mistakes and sloppy play overall.

-Our secondary, despite having two elite cornerbacks, somehow struggles against the pass.

-Our offense can't get one yard when they need it.

-Our "franchise quarterback" can't stay healthy, or we can't keep him healthy. Either one. Doesn't matter which.

Three weeks in, three of the very same things leading to bad performances. We got lucky against the Eagles, although we did play well.

No blocking from the offensive line, it's that simple. Matt Ryan is running for his life.

Playcalling also a huge issue. We need more of the no-huddle offense.

Defense played a great game, we got after Chad Henne and Colt and Co. led a great drive at the end. Awesome effort by our guys today.

- Forced Jay Cutler into some bad reads, bad throws, and a pair of picks.

- Didn't run the ball a lot, but enough and well enough to make the Bears respect the ground game.

- Aaron being Aaron.

Vick got hurt and our backup did nothing. It was close up to that point, we were even in the lead. The defense could have been a little better at tackling, but whatever. They had to deal with short fields when it mattered most, so you can't put it all on the defense, even though they had a bunch of 3rd downs that got converted on them. Each of our 3 linebackers have cost us 7 points on a huge play in every game now. The Giants played a great game top to bottom.

LeSean McCoy gives us reason for hope though.
