BLUE 1,026 Posted September 22, 2011 Per Rotoworld.com: Former No. 4 overall pick Aaron Curry has lost his starting strong-side linebacker job to rookie K.J. Wright.Athletic and productive at Wake Forest, Curry was highly regarded in the scouting community entering the 2009 draft. He's failed to make impact plays in Seattle, though, managing just 5.5 sacks and one interception as a 30-game starter the past two seasons. He had been removed from nickel packages after a dropped interception and blown coverage last week. The Tacoma News Tribune suggests Curry could go on the trade block. With no guaranteed money left on his contract, Curry can be released in 2012. Sep 22 - 5:13 PM Source: Tacoma News Tribune

.AirMcNair. 1,232 Posted September 23, 2011 lol I remember when he was considered the surest draft pick. Very few had doubts that he'd dominate. So much for that.

KiLaSix9+ 398 Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) lol I remember when he was considered the surest draft pick. Very few had doubts that he'd dominate. So much for that. I remember when BC argued Aaron Curry was godsend and would be a defensive rookie of the year and player of the year and MVP and HOF and win American Idol. BwareDWare94 723 Posted September 23, 2011 You know what sucks? Teams like Seattle and Buffalo are where these players bust. They don't bust in places that don't need them to produce. They bust for teams that drafted them to not only improve a position, but to help build into a contender. Then they fuck up. What is it about Curry and Maybin that made them fail so hard? Shitty work ethic? Not having it? What's the deal, here?
FIDDYDEUCE 81 Posted September 23, 2011 lol @ the ONE Browns fan Aaron Curry was supposed to be the shit coming out of that draft. He was beyond Patrick Peterson hype and behold he is basically a bust. The Chiefs got destroyed by analysts and fans for picking Tyson Jackson over Curry, but looking back that was the right choice. RANGA+ 1,210 Posted September 24, 2011 He's struggled ever since coming into the league. He's not bad at rushing the passer, but he tends to get pushed off at the point of contact in the running game and is sub-par in coverage. Maybe he needs to move into a 3-4 scheme... He is pretty good at stopping the run but when you put him in coverage he has a hard time covering and when you ask him to rush the passer he can't get off a block. Shotgun 442 Posted September 29, 2011 Seahawks open to trading former first-rounder LB Curry The Seattle Seahawks are open to trading linebacker Aaron Curry, a league source said Thursday. Curry was taken fourth overall in 2009 and was seen as one of the safer players in that draft, but he has struggled to make an impact in Seattle. Curry was drafted by a prior regime, and lost his starting job prior to Week 3. The Seahawks have not yet begun to shop him ahead of the trade deadline but are not averse to it, and would listen to offers, according to the source. Curry restructured his contract in the offseason, which could help facilitate a trade. Despite his minimal production in Seattle, Curry's athleticism and potential would certainly attract suitors. He could end up being one of the bigger names dealt before the deadline in a few weeks. Will be interesting to see who gives him another shot.
