TGP Trolls: Career Summary

Recommended Posts

When we last left the Trolls...

...they had kicked off the 2015 season--their fourth in the Majors--with a bang, jumping out to a 20-2 start. The historic stretch of wins not only put the Trolls out front in the NL Central, but announced to Major League Baseball that they had finally turned a corner and were ready to contend.

Below is a detailed recap of the 2015-2018 seasons, the last four years where our beloved Trolls are under contract in Pittsburgh.

Congratulations, Trolls!

Nine years after humble beginnings saw us as the best team in Double-A baseball, we stand among immortality, etching our legacy into baseball forever with a three-peat, an incredibly rare feat in sports, and MLB's first since the New York Yankees of 1998-2000. In our seven seasons together we've snagged two division titles, four playoff trips, multiple all-star appearances, two Gold Gloves, one Cy Young Award, and most importantly, three world championships. Baseball will remember us for many things, least of all our playoff dominance; we notched a 38-14 record in playoff baseball, including 33-8 the three years we won the Fall Classic.

All good things must come to an end, however, as this is the last of our time together. But stay tuned, because the 2018-19 offseason awaits, and we are all about to hit free agency. Part 2 of our career recap will include details on where we all sign, for how much money, and season-by-season profiles for each player until the year they retire. So, one last time...

No, fuck the Cubs. If they didn't have such an impressive team we would have easily won the division four years in a row.

Damn, we had a nice dynasty going there. Very happy with my guy's performance, notching a couple awards and league-leading stats.

Can't wait for Part 2! Thanks for doing all this, Steve.

F4E...for whatever reason I made a typo. Your guy didn't sign with the White Sox, but with the Reds. I know, just what you wanted to hear, another NL Central team. :p

Anyway, I'm moving along pretty fast with these. I should have career profiles up at some point today.
