Like Razor said... You need to think about as sides, not necessarily a probability at first.

Possible options with all three cards...

Red Red Red Green Green Green

You take out one card and its red...

Red Red Green Green Green

You know the card can't be double green...

Red Red Green

Never mind, I got it. The part I was not thinking about was the fact that the red/red card would have a higher chance because it's more likely that if the face of the card is red, that it was the red/red card that was pulled in the first place.

Oh ho. I see it. It's not the numbers, its the numbers they're in between.

4, 6, 12, 18, 30, 42, 60, X, 102

4- 3 and 5. 6- 5 and 7, 12- 11 and 13, 18- 17 and 19, etc.

It's numbers that are inbetween prime numbers. According to wikipedia, it looks like it is the numbers that are inbetween primes that are only separated by 2, since 23 and 29 are also prime numbers, but they are separated by more than two, thus no number in the sequence.

If this is correct, the next number in the sequence would be 108, followed by 138, followed by 150.

Oh, and so X would be 72.

This one isn't too bad, difficulty wise...

------------------------------------------------------

A teacher named Ms. Jones asks her third grade class if it's anyone's birthday that day and, to her surprise, even though there are 30-something kids in the class, no one raises their hand. Ms. Jones then asks, "Well, is there anyone here who has a family member whose birthday it is today?"

And little Katie raises her hand and says, "As a matter of fact, today is my father's birthday, and it's also my grandfather's birthday."

The teacher says, "Oh really, how interesting."

Little Katie goes on to say, "And they're the same age."

The teacher says, "Oh, no, no, Katie, that can't be."

And Katie insists, oh, yes, they are the same age.

So the question is: Can it be and, if so, how?

Incest. Grandpa has sex with Grandma, and pops out Momma, and then Grandpa has sex with Momma and pops out Katie.

Only in Kentucky though...

by 'grandfather' she's referring to her mother's father, and her mother is significantly younger than her father
