DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F 2,241 Posted February 21, 2015 Got accepted to the University of Oregon's graduate school, one of the 5 I applied to, and the one I wanted to get into the most because I'd be a dual enrollment for two separate masters programs at the same time. ATL_Predator+ 1,196 Posted February 21, 2015 In the meantime while waiting to go to the police academy because of city budget issues...I was offered a job at the current place I work (county courthouse) as a deputy sheriff. I've been doing security work with them for about 6 months and a spot finally opened up. I just have to fill out some paperwork and go for an interview and the job is mine and I would be starting within a month's time. Networking is seriously the key to all things, because I still haven't finished my degree and there are applicants I know that have bachelor's..but more often than not law enforcement likes to be familiar with what they are getting into. Around here at least. This doesn't mean that I won't be a police officer, it just means I'm going to gain some extremely valuable experience until I go to either the sheriff academy or the actual police academy. Either way, I'm pretty excited with my life. I know you guys think I'm emo and w/e but this is huge for me..and I thank some of you for keeping me sane during some rough times over the past year. 7 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Thanatos 2,847 Posted March 26, 2015 (edited) Several of you know based on what I posted in the shoutbox the other day that my sister had a mass in her lung found by the doctors. She finally got word back today from the specialist that it is entirely benign and is significantly smaller than originally thought. Nothing wrong with her at all. He thinks there was a glitch with the original machine, because while there is a something out of place there, it is not nearly as big as it was originally shown to be. It is entirely non-cancerous.
