I do not currently have any, and I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions or possible ideas that I could entertain as I think about getting something on my body that is permanent. A tattoo should be unique to you. No barbwire around biceps something gay like that. I have a pinup girl on my arm, an apocalypse scene on my bicep(if you can find the other thread I think I posed a picture of that in there), a Jackass/donkey with a cigar on my left chest and more recently(about a month or so ago) another jackass on my leg with thh words "Bad Ass Mother Fucker." I got a friend who's got "alis grave nil" which kinda means "nothing is heavy to those who have wings" tatted across his back, which looks cold... He's also on a D-I triple jumper, high jump. My one advice to you when you get a tattoo is to make sure it means something and don't get a tattoo just to mark up your body. Honestly, and this is just me guessing, I would say about 95% of all tattoos look like complete and utter dog shit and they don't mean anything. Also, find a good artist. When I was a freshman in HS, I knew a couple of seniors that got that tattoo on their ass cheeks. True story. Also had a friend get ''est. 1990'' tattooed on his ass. But the other day my buddy who has a lot of tattoos actually had a good idea for me, mountains. I've always been an adventurer and feel most at home in the mountains. Duck Fallas 209 Posted July 26, 2012 (edited) I have a video game related tattoo on one bicep and I plan on getting at least three more unique ones in the future: 1) The Washington Redskins script "R" logo made to look like the feathers from the Indian head logo. 2) A tattoo of my daughters handprints with their names and D.O.B underneath, probably somewhere on my chest near my heart. 3) A tribute tattoo to my mother who passed away when I was 7, it will have her name and the dates 3/4/1958 - 1/26/1986 I have another idea that I am not sure how to work out yet. I want to incorporate the words "It is not the years that matter, but the dash." in some way. One tip: Avoid what they call "Career killers", tattoos that are any place on your body that cannot be hidden from view by clothing. Smell My Face 13 Posted July 30, 2012 I have two half sleeves and a chest piece. All of which I got in college and still like. I would not get a tattoo that can't be covered up. Many "real" jobs frown on visible tattoos. I would not get the name of a girlfriend or anything like that. No matter how in love you could be things change. A son, daughter, dead family member or dead friends name etc wouldn't be a bad move.
