If a highly desired like Rodgers or Ware is stolen by you, and he's frozen for an entire 3 rounds, then you will just end up losing that player to the team that picks after you anyway, only thing that changes is the team that is going to steal that player now has three rounds to plan ahead, because they obviously know who they will be taking that 3rd round after you steal him. Edit: No, I am incorrect. That player would then wind up on the team you stole him from. The snaking order would have the 3rd round be a round that is the reverse of that order, so steal Aaron Rodgers from the Packers, the Packers steal him back from you three rounds later and is now permanently frozen since he was stolen twice at that point. 2nd edit: Also, passing completely should be an option. Socal 524 Posted September 28, 2012 (edited) You have to remember though, its not like everyone is just going to sit around waiting to steal players, there are a lot of great players to be had, and you have 11 selections, its not unlimited. What we could do is designate certain players as 'untouchables' but then that just favors the people who get to select first, and would also take some time compile the list of who would qualify. oochymp 2,393 Posted September 29, 2012 (edited) I don't know that I'm up for joining, but one suggestion I would make is to let each person name one player on their initial roster as untouchable, especially if you can't steal back your own players. The downside is it means the best players would likely be untouchable, but it also means that in the end everyone will still have their favorite player from their team. Maybe it'd limit the player pool too much, but I know I'd be pissed starting with the Packers and not ending up with Aaron Rodgers (which would almost certainly be the case without this sort of rule) Edited September 29, 2012 by oochymp Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Probably not going to start tomorrow, I think we will start Tuesday at the earliest, we still need one more team, plus everyone will be busy watching MNF tomorrow and doing other shit. I don't expect this game to go super quickly but it's also not going to turn out like our draft, if people don't make their picks in a reasonable time without notice, their picks will be made for them. When you make a pick, pm the next person in line, please Each team gets 11 picks (when a player of yours gets stolen, you immediately move next in line and make your pick, this does not count towards your 11 picks, it just replaces the pick that was stolen) When I refer to players stolen, i am only referring to those that were previously swapped. When you steal a pick, please pm the 'victim' so they can make another selection and the next person in line can then go. There are NO outright freezes, players are however frozen for 3 rounds when you make the pick You have a maximum of 2 steals, you are not required to use them. Not exactly sure how this game will turn out but i think it will be interesting. The clear thing is, not everyone is going to be happy about the players that get stolen from them, but every team can be upgraded at most spots so don't fret.
