theMileHighGuy 656 Posted November 5, 2013 Collarbone should only be about 4 weeks, 5 max, especially if it's not a full break and it's not on his throwing side. I knew that's what it was when I saw the replay, it's the exact same way I broke my collarbone a few years ago.
badgers 380 Posted November 5, 2013 I was expecting something like this. Bring in a new QB now, Thompson.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted November 5, 2013 It's a small fracture.. I've been seeing 3-4 weeks. Let's say we drop all of those games... 5-6 or 5 - 7 with 4-5 games to play. I think we can still make the playoffs, honestly, barring some horrible losses when Aaron returns.
badgers 380 Posted November 5, 2013 Alright, that's worst case scenario that we lose every game that Rodgers misses. I expect we go around .500 for the remaining games. I truly hope that Thompson is calling up Matt Flynn or Vince Young right now. Flynn might have sucked on other teams but he was good when he was with us and this is only temporary. I'd be willing to give him a shot. Young was getting better as preseason went on and I think everybody was shocked when he was cut. Can't believe some people are calling for Scott fucking Tolzien lol. State-of-Wisconsin homers, of course.. Dude was horrible at Wisconsin, you think he's gonna get anywhere in the pros? Alrighty then.. I bet Ryan Braun never juiced, either. I'm only being extremely negative cuz I have zero hope in Seneca Wallace. Guy was so bad he couldn't even make the Bears think that we could pass the ball. He'll start this week, hopefully we can pull it off for a W, but hopefully we bring someone else in to take over for him asap.. unless massive improvement, which I see as unlikely. Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted November 5, 2013 We will bring in another QB, being that we are even worse off if Seneca gets hurt. Maybe it's Flynn.. If it is, he's the only one who has a remote shot at stealing a start from Seneca... If Tolzein is promoted, Seneca is starting every game. If anyone else is signed, they probably won't be grasping the playbook until after Aaron is back. Like I said last night, I think we are stuck with Seneca especially when the prognosis has only been 3 weeks or so.I think Seneca will play better with a full week of practice reps, anyway. FartWaffles 1,857 Posted November 5, 2013 Sup Wisconsin? I hear you guys need a quarterback.
badgers 380 Posted November 5, 2013 Just a quick update on the situation: - Seneca Wallace is most likely starting this next week, no surprise here. - Scott Tolzien promoted to active roster... god almighty... - Matt Flynn cleared waivers... - Vince Young is nowhere to be seen - (unrelated) Sam Barrington (a linebacker) and Finley put on IR. Cobb already got the "return" IR for some stupid reason so neither of those guys are coming back. Have we decided to tank for a top 10 pick or something? Obviously I'm exaggerating, but Seneca Wallace and Scott Tolzien will not win us any games. Come on GB get your heads on straight.
Vin+ 3,121 Posted November 6, 2013 ESPN's Ed Werder expects the Packers to sign free agent Matt Flynn "if convinced he's healthy." The Pack passed up a chance to claim Flynn on waivers, but that would have required taking on his (minimum) salary without getting a look at his recent medicals. ESPN Milwaukee reported Tuesday that Green Bay is concerned about Flynn's persistent elbow problems. Flynn had great success as a spot starter for Aaron Rodgers during his time in Green Bay, but has struggled since moving on. If healthy, however, he'd probably be a better bet than Seneca Wallace. Turry 755 Posted November 6, 2013 The Packers are not believed to be interested in re-signing free agent QB Vince Young. Young, 30, spent 26 days with the Packers during the summer before being a part of final cuts. He completed 20-of-42 preseason passes for 177 yards with zero touchdowns and one lost fumble. It was widely believed that he had sealed up the No. 2 job following the all-important third exhibition game but face-planted in the finale. Young hasn't generated any known interest since. If you lose all those games, the Packers are kaput. Edited November 6, 2013 by Thanatos19

If you lose all those games, the Packers are kaput. Maybe, maybe not. The last wildcard spot is completely up for grabs. The Lions will choke like always, the Bears will regress with Cutler, the NFC E teams don't pose a threat, and the Panthers are posers. Every chance to nab that final spot. Luckily, the "if we lose every game in this stretch" most likely will not happen (hopefully) with the schedule we have.
Maverick 791 Posted November 6, 2013 Hopefully he's back for the Thanksgiving game. I'd say a 30% chance at that happening, though.
Turry 755 Posted November 6, 2013 A source tells FOX Sports that Aaron Rodgers' (collarbone) timetable is roughly 4-6 weeks. Broken bones typically take 4-6 weeks to heal. But it's possible Rodgers can beat this standard timetable and play in the Week 13 Thanksgiving game (3.5 weeks away) because his fracture is of the "chip" or small variety. Note that ESPN's Adam Schefter previously heard Rodgers would miss roughly three weeks. Regardless, that Thanksgiving game is shaping up as a best-case target date. Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted November 6, 2013 And now people are saying 4-6 weeks, which would kill us. One thing is for certain, absolutely nobody knows how long it will take to heal. So... When is the draft?
