BC 331 Posted March 12, 2014 (edited) THIS JUST IN: The Detroit Lions have signed former Seahawks WR Golden Tate to a 5-year deal for $31M ($13.25M guaranteed) LOL Thanks for your broken play magic last year, 81, but you are not at all worth what you just got, and you won't be the player you were in Seattle. Good luck with that, Detroit. Edited March 12, 2014 by BC
Attyla the Hawk 197 Posted March 12, 2014 I wouldn't go that far. Tate is probably going to benefit a lot from having a strong passing game. I'd expect over 1,000 yards from him.
RazorStar 4,025 Posted March 12, 2014 I feel like this is a slight bit of overpayment, but Tate will thrive as a number in 2 in Detroit, and really, what more could you ask for?
Dutch 874 Posted March 12, 2014 Tate to the Lions is a perfect opportunity to see what kind of receiver he truly is and will reveal if he can be a solid #2. We know he's a play maker seeing splashes of explosive plays but needs more consistent production. He will get that chance with the Lions and Calvin Johnson garnering majority of the coverage attention and Bush in the back field.

Attyla the Hawk 197 Posted March 13, 2014 Meh... Hehe, at least the Detroit/GB games should be more lively. God help Packer Backers if he ends up getting a game winning TD at Lambeau.
FartWaffles 1,857 Posted March 14, 2014 (edited) I like the signing for Detroit. Tate's gonna be what they wished they had in a healthy Ryan Broyles. Edited March 14, 2014 by FartWaffles
BwareDWare94 723 Posted March 14, 2014 Things that aren't going to matter at this time, next year: this signing.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted March 19, 2014 I'm going to earn in one year at Detroit what Seattle was going to pay me for two years. Seattle offered numbers that were laughable. - Golden Tate
