BwareDWare94 723 Posted March 18, 2014 (edited) BREAKING: After a number of reasonable, good moves during the 2014 offseason, Jerry Jones made the only free agent signing that may ever top the lucrative extension given to Roy Williams the WR as the worst move in Jones' career. The Cowboys signed the worthless Brandon Weeden. Fans were already disgusted and confused, completely unable to justify the signing of this fucking guy: Edited March 18, 2014 by BwareDWare94

oochymp 2,393 Posted March 18, 2014 according to NFL.com he signed for two years at the veteran minimum and you could do worse for a backup QB, I really don't see this as a terrible signing
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted March 18, 2014 Not much worse... This is about as bad as it gets. About.
Milla4Prez63 678 Posted March 18, 2014 It is hard to do worse than Weeden.
ATL_Predator+ 1,196 Posted March 18, 2014 I just want to see Weeden start one game for the Cowboys....then maybe I would actually feel sorry.
oochymp 2,393 Posted March 18, 2014 but at the veteran minimum? when you've got an established starter? where's the harm?
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted March 18, 2014 Well usually, you want a backup QB who can come in during an emergency situation and kind of sort salvage it. Lessen the loss of your QB as much as possible. The more a backup QB can lessen the pain of losing your starter, the better. Brandon Weeden doesn't lessen that pain in the slightest.
Mathias 394 Posted March 18, 2014 It is hard to do worse than Weeden. Josh Freeman.
Mathias 394 Posted March 18, 2014 You guys realize we still have Kyle Orton as the backup? Weeden is an OTA/Mini-camp arm. If we don't like him we can always cut bait. It's costs $75K. But it's the Cowboys so everyone overreacts and says stupid things.
BwareDWare94 723 Posted March 18, 2014 Eh. I figured we signed him because we're assuming Orton might bail.
BLUE 1,026 Posted March 18, 2014 Wasn't Kyle Orton considering retirement long before this signing?

Sarge+ 3,436 Posted March 19, 2014 (edited) I don't see how anyone could like Weeden considering he is easily one of the worst quarterbacks ever to play in the NFL. I wouldn't want him anywhere near my team even as a backup. Edited March 19, 2014 by Sarge
Cherry 1,302 Posted March 19, 2014 Weeden WILL find a way to start. He always does. Its like having him is a curse.
Guest Phailadelphia Posted March 19, 2014 I don't see the big deal.here. Bring him in to training camp and see what he's got. Cut him at no loss if he sucks. This is a lot of really dumb overraction.
