FartWaffles 1,857 Posted November 28, 2015 But but but Saints All kidding aside, it's just hard to bench a consistently good QB for a consistently mediocre one. No matter the matchup. You may be right going with Hoyer, but it's just not a risk I'd personally be willing to make.
Vin+ 3,121 Posted November 28, 2015 Which Patriots WR is gonna light up the Broncos? Keshawn Martin? Brandon LaFell? Pretty much the only receiving threat that's there is Gronk.
Socal 524 Posted November 29, 2015 Saints D gives up 24 points a game to QBs, 8 more than NFL average. They surrender 2.8 TDs and 300 yards on average. Their best game? Week 4 against Brandon Weeden who still threw for 250 yds and a TD. In the 5 full games Hoyer has started this season he has averaged 19 points, 270 yards and 2.4 TDs Denvers D gives up 9 points a game to QBs, 7 less than the NFL average. They only give up 211 yards and .8 TDs a game. Their 8 TDs given up are less than the 10 Int they have! Meanwhile, the last 3 weeks Brady has averaged only 15 points. CampinWithaMissingPerson 2,025 Posted November 29, 2015 (edited) Starting Hoyer vs Saints Sitting Brady vs Broncos Who has a compelling reason I shouldn't? I picked up Kirk Cousins on Rivers bye week to play over Hoyer (who was my plan before, but then I saw Cousins playing the Saints), he obviously went on to destroy the Saints and put up huge numbers for me. Oh yeah... Flex play banged up Allen Hurns vs (Verrett likely sticks to Robinson) Stevie Johnson vs (gets Colvin in the slot a lot likely) Charles Sims vs hobbled hammy'd John Brown vs Edited November 29, 2015 by CampinWithHomelessRobRyan
