Vin+ 3,121 Posted October 12, 2016 Colin Kaepernick has agreed to a restructured contract. The contract has been rumored for days but didn't become official until Wednesday. His base salary for 2017 will be $14.5 million, though none of the money is guaranteed. Kaepernick can also void the deal after this season and become an unrestricted free agent. Now that he's been installed as the starter, Kaepernick will use the rest of this year as an audition for interested teams in 2017.
