Vin+ 3,121 Posted February 29, 2016 Saints released WR Marques Colston. He was cut with a "failed physical" designation, meaning Colston wasn't 100 percent when the team moved on. He was owed $3.2 million, all of which will come off the Saints' cap. A seventh-round steal in the 2006 NFL draft out of Hofstra, Colston spent ten a full decade in New Orleans and is the franchise's all-time leader in receptions (711), receiving yards (9,759), and receiving TDs (72). Going on age 33, however, Colston is clearly running out of gas. The Saints seem to believe Brandon Coleman can take over as their "big slot" receiver between Brandin Cooks and Willie Snead.
