Pokemon Random Battle League: Schedule and Matches

Welcome everyone who signed up for random pokemon battles, it's a good time to get underway, so I've written up the schedule for a ten week season. Though I do say week, if everyone has completed their matches before the week deadline, we can go ahead and start with the next series of matches.

 

These will be best of three matchups played on Pokemon Showdown. When you've finished each game, hit the upload and share replay button and save the link that the site gives you. When either of you has won two games the match is over and you should post the results in this topic. As an example here is a match of me against someone else.

Result: 2-1 Win for Arctic

 

The top two players in each division after the regular season will move onto a single elimination tournament, where the winner will take all. If there is a tiebreaker needed we'll look at head to head first, if two players are tied at second and the head to head is one match to one then it'll come down to your decisive wins (going 2-0 in a match), if you go 7-3 and have 4 decisive wins, you'll go in ahead of someone who is 7-3 and only has 1 decisive win. If it's still tied after that, we'll look at decisive losses, and if that's tied then we'll just have a play in game, but I don't think it will come to that. Anyway here is the schedule, so best of luck to everyone participating.

Randomizing is fun.We also had a practice 3rd match. He had Zekrom, and if I hadn't had Xerneas I'd have been screwed.

Seems lame that random doesn't differentiate between tiers. Lucking into a couple legends vs. someone with a bunch of UU (underused, low tier in competitive battling) is gonna blow.

Yeah that's the major down side of that. I had three legends on my team when me and Vin had a practice battle. However if you get the right stuff, the legends can get beat easily.

They lower the levels of legendaries to at least balance it around that. A level 83 Chansey is gonna be facing a Level 75 Zekrom kind of thing.
