BLUE 1,026 Posted March 21, 2016 Per Rotoworld.com: Browns coach Hue Jackson said the team had a "great meeting" with free agent Robert Griffin III. "I think he's obviously a tremendous talent and a great young man," Jackson said. "We're going to be very diligent in what we are doing -- trying to make sure that we put the right quarterbacks on our football team and in that quarterback room." The Browns are reportedly talking with people who have worked with Griffin about his character, suggesting they have more than a passing interest in the former Pro Bowler. At this point, it appears much more likely Cleveland signs Griffin than trades for 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick. Even if they acquire a veteran quarterback, Cleveland should still be looking to add a rookie early in the draft. Mar 21 - 8:29 AM Source: ClevelandBrowns.com CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora has heard "mounting buzz" that free agent Robert Griffin III will eventually sign with the Browns. La Canfora "wouldn't be surprised at all" if a deal is finalized this week. After meeting with RG3 last week, Browns coach Hue Jackson called the visit "great," and referred to Griffin as a "tremendous talent" and "great young man." The Browns' current quarterback depth chart reads Josh McCown, Austin Davis, Connor Shaw. RG3 would at least make Cleveland somewhat interesting again. KeVo 176 Posted March 22, 2016 It would be interesting to see what Hue Jackson could do with RG3, if RG3 is willing to put in the work. That relationship could prove to be rather productive.

Zack_of_Steel+ 3,014 Posted March 23, 2016 It would be interesting to see what Hue Jackson could do with RG3, if RG3 is willing to put in the work. That relationship could prove to be rather productive. This is what I'm thinking. If they don't run his frail ass out there and he stops being a twat, this could be a great move. Hopefully they Brown it up, though.
Bangy 19 Posted March 24, 2016 The other problem I can see here is the fact that they have lost Mack and Schwartz. That is a decent amount of protection gone for a QB who has had injury issues. Otherwise I could see the this being a good move, especially if Josh Gordon is reinstated and can keep on the straight and narrow.

SteVo+ 3,702 Posted March 24, 2016 So, this is a reclamation project, right? Cleveland's still taking a QB 2nd overall, right? Is there any chance Hue doesn't like any of the QBs in the draft?
DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F 2,241 Posted March 25, 2016 I love the signing for the Browns as long as it doesn't stop the Browns from drafting a QB. I just wish he could stay healthy.
RazorStar 4,025 Posted March 25, 2016 Two years, 15 million, 6.5 million guaranteed? Sounds like a good deal for the Browns.
BLUE 1,026 Posted August 6, 2016 Per Rotoworld.com: ESPN Cleveland's Tony Grossi expects the Browns to name Robert Griffin III their Week 1 starter "early in the week." The Browns begin preparing for their preseason opener on Monday, at which point Grossi expects coach Hue Jackson to name Griffin the starter. Griffin and Corey Coleman shined in Friday night's intrasquad scrimmage, toasting the Browns' defense on vertical bombs. Jackson also praised RG3 for "protecting the football," a critical attribute in Jackson's run-first, ball-control offense.
