Sarge+ 3,436 Posted November 10, 2016 People don't just drop dead when they hit 80, Cherry. Bernie is plenty healthy enough. Also, in the event that something does happen, good Vice Presidents are good (looking at you, Elizabeth). Of course if you dislike Socialism to begin with, you'll dislike both of them. But she would make an excellent VP for him or vice versa. I would totally support her as President with him as her VP.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted November 10, 2016 There's a lot of people out there hoping Michelle runs. She'd probably destroy the election process. As in, win over whelmingly.
Cherry 1,302 Posted November 10, 2016 Just jump over to Venezuela for that socialism, Sarge. Plenty joyous there.
Sarge+ 3,436 Posted November 10, 2016 Naw, was thinking more along the lines of Germany or Japan or Sweden. Maybe even Denmark or Finland. Even Colombia has universal healthcare though. It's like 5% of my monthly pay. I bet if people in the U.S. who make 4K a month could only pay $200 a month for really good coverage, they would take that any time. SteVo+ 3,702 Posted November 10, 2016 more un-provable hearsay based on believing everything you read. you have absolutely no idea how many or who voted for what. None what so ever. You're right, Phil. I can't stop absorbing statistical data I hear on television and interpreting it as fact. I can't stop! They've got me sucked in, Phil!

And he'd probably get reelected barring some ridiculous meltdown or scandal later on.
blotsfan 2,112 Posted November 10, 2016 Bernie is too old to run in 2020. Hopefully Sarge is right and there is a young Bernie. However, I think Trump is going to win the 2020 election unless he dies or quits. He read the country better than anyone else. I've been wrong about him just about every step of the way so hopefully I'm wrong about how he'll be as president.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted November 10, 2016 Facebook is becoming ridiculous..One person posted a picture of someone spray painting, "Make America White Again" and he said that if you voted for Trump, that is directly your fault. Another woman said that if her biracial grandchildren are shot dead in the street that it is because of one specific Trump voter she was talking to at the time and that their blood would be on her (the other womans) hands. I fucking hate people. And Trump supporters were the nasty ones? The ones filled with hate?
Thanatos 2,847 Posted November 10, 2016 (edited) I feel like Barack would divorce Michelle if she ran for office in 2020. I don't think he wants anything further to do with the White House. Have you seen how much the last eight years have aged him? Sheesh. @Favre: Friend of mine who voted for Trump is literally receiving calls from people in her church calling her a hateful person, merely based on that fact alone. Got one today right while I was talking to her. There is plenty of hate on both sides of the aisle. Not sure why we'd expect otherwise based on how utterly despicable the race was. RazorStar 4,025 Posted November 10, 2016 Liberals are just as malicious and spiteful as they say conservatives are. Consider that their typical argument is just to call their opponents bigots, misogynists, and tools of the white patriarchy instead of bringing the discourse to a rational level. They're polite and courteous, until things stop going their way.

Oh yeah, there are definitely nasty Trump supporters..But I don't know. Maybe I am just delusional, but I don;t think things would be this bad if Hillary had won. Not saying there wouldn't incidents, but, at least from my side... It just seems so heavy and so thick... EDIT: ANd somebody refresh my memory.. Was it this bad when Obama won? I want to say no, but before I do, I will let others correct me. Edited November 10, 2016 by Favre4Ever

oochymp 2,393 Posted November 10, 2016 ANd somebody refresh my memory.. Was it this bad when Obama won? I want to say no, but before I do, I will let others correct me. I don't know about 'as bad' (I definitely don't remember reaction being as immediate, though that may have a lot to do with 8 years of social media development) but there was definitely an anti-Obama push, shit like the Birther movement and conservative pundits for years referring to him as "Barack HUSSEIN Obama," as far as protesters taking to the streets, that may be as much a function of urban/rural demographics as anything else

It was not this bad, but I do remember rallies and such that were anti-Obama. It's telling that CNN and NBC and their ilk is not calling out the current anti-Trump ralliers with the same vitriol they were using on the anti-Obama ones.
