Browns Starting Kessler

Recommended Posts

Lol @ Hue putting in Pyror a couple times just to throw a quick pass to the WR. Kessler2Pryor worked out okay. :smug:

Terrelle Pryor did just as good at QB as Kessler.. Time to start a new QB in Week 4.

I'd be more serious about that statement if Pryor wasn't literally the last Browns WR left... If he could prove that he could throw to himself (and hell, maybe he can) I would confidently bench Kessler today.

Pryor didn't have enough snaps at QB and you need his talents at WR. Some of his throws were so bad, should of had an INT as well.

If you having QB problems I feel bad for you son, the Browns got 99 problems but Cody Kessler ain't one. :smug:

Prior looks legit as a WR. If he can keep this up and Gordon finds the form he was known for they could, become a lethal pair

Nothing's changed... At no point watching the 4th quarter, which is all I was able to see did I think to myself he's anything more then a decent career backup QB.

Honestly of all the garbage QBs you could be trying to pimp....

He's a mid to mid-low tier starter who is Alex Smith with weaker legs and better progressions. Nothing immaculate but again he won't lose you games.

Are you talking him up or down?

Are you talking him up or down?

Neither. Just talking about him for what he is. He's a middle of the pack guy who will do nothing that harms your team and will also do nothing that helps your team. Just a cool 63-65% passing for 200 yards and a TD with no interceptions.

Relative to where most people (Dmac :shifty:) view him, I'm talking him up.

He's the definition of a QB litmus test much like Dalton was over the past few years. If your QB is worse than him? You might wanna look at replacements. Your QB is better than him? You're good. That's your franchise guy.

"While the Browns would substitute Terrelle Pryor in on several drives, Kessler wound up taking 36 dropbacks for a franchise reeling from the loss of its primary and secondary options. Kessler completed 16-of-20 aimed passes under 10 yards and, surprisingly, completed five-of-seven beyond 10 yards. The rookie quarterback from USC would top all quarterbacks from the 1 p.m. games with an adjusted completion percentage of 81.8 percent. With Josh McCown unlikely to play in Week 4 at Washington, Kessler could begin to solidify his job leading the Cleveland offense with another solid showing. Grade: 65.6."

The Browns used Pryor at QB because they needed someone to be able to make plays, keep defenses guessing, and keep Kessler from making mistakes. The Browns deferred in OT, speaking volumes of how confident they are in their QB's ability to push the ball down the field. He ran a sheltered offense that allowed him to make safe easy reads.

He literally hasn't shown anything to prove he should be starting for anyone... If your QB is as good as him you should be looking for his replacement, cause he's a backup.

Throwing 64% and gaining nearly 250 yards without a pick is bad for a rookie in his debut on the worst team in football? :wut:

Don't forget the 2 fumbles.

He didn't look bad. But he didn't do anything that impressive..

isn't that basically what you want from a rookie starting his first game?

One was the miscommunication with a center he has hardly worked with and the other was just holding onto the ball too long. Nothing atrocious and he didn't make mistakes afterwards.
