Never would've expected something like this, assuming it happened.

Former University of Florida quarterback and Edgewater High School football coach Chris Leak is under investigation after an alleged sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl, according to Orlando police.

Leak, 31, has not been charged with a crime and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

Leak could not be reached for comment on Wednesday.

He resigned as Edgewater's coach on Monday after leading the team for just five games. The team was 0-5.

The alleged incident on Sept. 5 was reported Monday. It reportedly occurred on Sept. 5 in the athletic trainer office near the football field, according to an investigative report.

Leak allegedly asked the girl to give him a massage. He came out from the shower wearing only a towel, the report said.

The girl told detectives that she massaged his back legs and he asked her to massage the front of his legs, the report said.

According to the report, the girl told detectives Leak then pulled her hands up to touch his genitals.

She told police her hand grazed his genitals a few times, according to the report.

The girl then left.

He called her and eventually bought the girl some food before taking her home, the report said.

She later told a friend and Leak gave the friend $100, according to the report.

Police said the girl was "very upset" while describing the incident.

A spokeswoman for the State Attorney's Office said it had not received any reports yet from police.

Before he was hired to lead the Edgewater football team, Leak spent 2015 working in football development and youth outreach for the Tampa Bay Bucs. Before that, he was an assistant for the Florida Gators under former coach Will Muschamp.

In college, Leak played under Ron Zook and Urban Meyer, leading UF to the 2007 BCS National Championship Game, where the Gators beat Ohio State 41-14. He also was a finalist for the Draddy Award, now called the Campbell Trophy. It is widely known as Academic Heisman.

Leak was signed by the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2007 but did not make the regular-season roster. He then played in the Canadian Football League and in the Arena Football League for the Orlando Predators and Jacksonville Sharks.

Leak said he took the Edgewater job because he was eager to get back into coaching and spend more time living in Orlando with wife and two young daughters.

Reached by phone, Edgewater's athletic director Janet Rasmussen did not have a comment.

Officer Christopher St. John, Edgewater's school resource officer, took the report.

Tim Tebow would have been 5-0 and the girl would been too intimidated to touch his junk.
