BwareDWare94 723 Posted March 30, 2017 So what exactly is wrong with the Wild? Just the expected slump most teams have in every season?
Bay 2,003 Posted March 30, 2017 (edited) Kings-Flames was awesome tonight! Not for the score, the drama during warmup which carried over to the game you knew there was going to be fights for sure. Tkachuk had to answer for what he did to Doughty and a couple good scraps in the game. Iggy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADQu83lhdWY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1vG5o8H22I Edited March 30, 2017 by Bay

Bay 2,003 Posted March 31, 2017 Overuse of Dubnyk due to having poor backups, primarily. Stalock up from the AHL finally gave the Wild a nice game from a backup. Sens were injured, still no excuses for Ottawa - the Lightning have been hanging around with all their injuries.

Bay 2,003 Posted March 31, 2017 Yeah, Kuemper is shit 3.26 GAA, .900 sv % jesus
BigBen07 285 Posted March 31, 2017 3.26 GAA, .900 sv % jesus That would be acceptable numbers in 1992-93. Leafs did a hell of a job last night. That win was quite a surprise and stalled the Preds chances at securing 3rd in the Central. Winnipeg really fucked up the Pacific division race last night by beating the Ducks lol. Now Edmonton and Anaheim's next meeting (tomorrow at 10:00) is for the division lead! That game I'll be watching after the Leafs final game at Joe Louis Arena. BigBen07 285 Posted April 4, 2017 Well it's official: no Olympics for the NHL in 2018. Excuse the double post.

BigBen07 285 Posted April 4, 2017 Toronto really took it to Buffalo tonight. So long Panthers!
oochymp 2,393 Posted April 6, 2017 You want to know why this playoff system is terrible? It's entirely possible that for Pittsburgh to repeat they'd have to go through, in order, Columbus, Washington, Montreal, and Chicago, in the current standings those are, in order, the #4, #1, #6, and #3 teams in the league, that's the current road through a 16 team tournament for the second best team in the league.
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted April 6, 2017 I'm happy to see division rivals get screwed over, but I'm also happy to see more are joining me on my this-playoff-system-is-garbage crusade.

Bay 2,003 Posted April 7, 2017 Sens are in! Congrats to Tyson Jost for getting his 1st NHL goal. If the Lightning somehow make the playoffs...
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted April 8, 2017 If the Lightning somehow make the playoffs... Looking very possible right now. The Maple Leafs have a brutal back-to-back today and tomorrow (Pittsburgh, Columbus) while the Lightning just have Buffalo on Sunday.

But how much are Pittsburgh and Columbus going to care with their playoff positions locked in?
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted April 8, 2017 Probably not very much, you're right. It's just exciting because whoever gets that #8 seed plays the Capitals, which is essentially a first-round bye.

Thanatos 2,847 Posted May 31, 2017 I still feel puzzled sometimes at NHL calls. I guess that's true for football as to what is a catch, but hockey, man.
