SteVo+ 3,702 Posted December 25, 2016 Good choice. A de facto divisional championship game is always fun.
Thanatos 2,847 Posted December 25, 2016 Do the Lions have any chance whatsoever?
BwareDWare94 723 Posted December 26, 2016 Do the Lions have any chance whatsoever? Absolutely if Slay plays. If not, they might be fucked. Dude changes their defense drastically.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted December 26, 2016 How many guys can Slay cover though? The thing is... Aaron loves throwing to Jordy, but he hasn't been forcing it on this win streak. He's throwing to who is open. It just so happens that teams like the Vikings let Jordy get open. If he wasn't, Davante, Geronimo, or Jared Cook have been open. They will need to get a consistent pass rush to win, IMO. Slay never hurts though.

I just don't think Detroit is going to have the defensive breakdowns that other teams have had during the Packers win streak. This game should be a blood bath, and I'm excited to watch it. Here's to hoping Detroit wins tonight so that if Green Bay wins next week, both teams should get into the playoffs at 10 wins. oochymp 2,393 Posted December 26, 2016 Pretty sure this is the only game that will definitely matter to both teams

Every team has breakdowns in coverage or whatever it may be. Really what defenses want to do is coach their guys up enough to limit those. And a big factor in that is if a QB can catch that breakdown or not. I'm sure this happens with every fan, but there are times in a game where there's a breakdown in coverage by Aaron just doesn't see it and forces a bad pass or makes an incompletion when he had a guy open on the other side, for example. Detroit is going to have those breakdowns (every team does), it's just going to come down if Aaron and the Packers can exploit those breakdowns. That's why I mentioned the pass rush, if you can rush the passer, it gives a lot of leeway to those Dbs who get beat , fail down, are out of position or what have you. DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F 2,241 Posted December 27, 2016 It's gearing up for Rodgers to have a game where he probably completes every pass he attempts. I still believe the Lions can pull this one out, but with injuries to Stafford, Theo potential not playing, Slay being limited, and a coaching staff that at times seem like they are just as confused as people who are watching football for the first time... Shit might turn left.
