WeaponX20 26 Posted April 21, 2017 Ok we're a week out...which prospects are on your wish list? The Eagles have so many holes, I don't have any specific wishes whatsoever. Dream scenario is that the Eagles use their first 4 picks on, in any order, a: Running back Receiving option (WR or TE) Cornerback Another cornerback I also wouldn't mind a pass rusher or O-linemen if they're BPA. Round 1 Christian McCaffrey RB Stanford Rebuen Foster LB Alabama Derek Barnett DE Tennessee Taco Charlton DE Michigan Rd 2 Adoree Jackson CB USC Teez Tabor CB Florida Quincy Wilson CB Florida Alvin Kamara RB Tennessee Juju Schuster WR USC
seanbrock 1,684 Posted April 21, 2017 Round 1 OJ Howard Derrick Barnett Rueben Roster Williams or Davis Marlon Humphrey (because of our safeties and Undlin) Chidobe Awuzie (would be a reach) Round 2 Chidobe Awuzie Ahkhello Witherspoon Kevin King Adoree Jackson Kareem Hunt Marlon Mack Jamal Williams
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted April 21, 2017 More Marlon Mack love. Seriously though I think Mack fits perfectly in Carolina assuming they don't get Fournette.

ATL_Predator+ 1,196 Posted April 22, 2017 A good running back should never be shafted by draft placement. Todd Gurley is literally the entire Rams offense. He put the entire group on his back and nearly dragged it to a thousand yard season. A running back that is truly special is worth every bit as high a pick as any other position (outside of specialists and the obvious QB if you need one.) That said, I wouldn't touch Cook in the first. Fournette on the other hand? I'd consider taking him top five. The special guys are worth taking early. I violently disagree. What is Todd Gurley without a line, receivers and a competent offense around him? Nothing. Case in point is last year, the Rams were god awful and their defense is what kept them in games to even sparsely use Gurley. When you're a bad team that's behind by multiple touchdowns... a running back is not going to be what gets you out of that hole primarily. It will be a QB with a competent line and an OC that understands balance and effiency. The supporting cast for a RB needs to be greater for them to succeed than that of a QB in today's NFL. Fournette is not going to be an elite back by any means. He was pounded by Bama every time we played them..and if he's the lone bright spot of an offense from a team that's selecting in the top 15.. he will have the same results. Not effective, he's a guy that is playing for money and longevity. Nothing special to him. Might as well take the BPA that's not a RB and save yourself the headache.
Cherry 1,302 Posted April 22, 2017 Fournette against Alabama is a very good comparison to what Gurley was facing last year. They are both elite caliber runners, but of course they aren't going to do anything running behind a line that's getting absolutely murdered by the defense. But you don't pass on the opportunity to have an elite runner if he is there, if you are planning to build up your offensive line. Because if you take Fournette early on and build up a line for him? He's running for 1500 yards a season. A halfway decent line gets him to that. It's like passing on a receiver because you don't have a quarterback.

Why don't we ask AP and LT how much their eliteness contributed to their respective teams championships while they were in their prime? Cherry 1,302 Posted April 22, 2017 Why don't we ask AP and LT how much their eliteness contributed to their respective teams championships while they were in their prime? Why don't we ask Calvin Johnson? Why don't we ask Joe Thomas? Why don't we ask Julius Peppers? The list goes on and on. It's silly to think that one position is devalued because it relies on effective play from other positions.
