Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted January 16, 2017 The football world is still catching its breath after the Packers' insane 34-31 win over the Cowboys at Jerrah World on Sunday. Turns out Rodgers' 36-yard completion to tight end Jared Cook that set up Mason Crosby's game-winner wasn't taken out of Mike McCarthy's voluminous playbook. In truth, the play -- a play that will go down as one of the greatest in Green Bay's rich history -- wasn't in the playbook at all. https://twitter.com/RobertKlemko/status/820817124088279042 http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000774934/article/rodgers-drew-up-final-play-call-playground-style
RazorStar 4,025 Posted January 16, 2017 GOAT GOAT GOAT! Aaron realized the only way the Packers would win is to take as much authority away from McCarthy as possible.
oochymp 2,393 Posted January 16, 2017 That means one of two things, and I'm not sure which is more amusing, either (1) McCarthy didn't call in a play and just told Aaron to do something good, or (2) McCarthy called in a play and Aaron thought "no, that's a stupid play call, I'm going to draw my own." I think the second is probably more likely and my guess would be that the play call was take a knee and go to OT, which would have been a stupid play call.
