Tomlin comments

Recommended Posts

I was disappointed he retracted them or said he regretted it. The Pats are assholes and we all know about the head set issues the Steelers have had in NE. He obviously doesn't like them and things get said in the locker room that you don't say at pressers or to the reporters. Totally fucking soft on his part. Say what you will about Rex Ryan but he would never back down from something like that.

Is this headset issue thing still a "conspiracy"? lol

The Patriots have no control over the communications, it's controlled by a 3rd party. And if one team has troubles, both teams have to shut their headsets off.

Except I read you can easily re-boost the radio signal for the game broadcast to interfere with the headsets and make them pick the broadcast and it would be virtually impossible to prove. Kind of funny how when league officials cane to investigate it stopped and started as they were walking away. Obviously the Pats would be prepared t ok get their plays in some other way if they fucked withe head sets. Like I said in the shout box the Pats have a guy on the payroll whose job it is to figure out ways to cheat. It's not as if it's a stretch to think they cheated.

If your not cheating, your not trying. Every NFL team cheats, some are better than others. The Patriots just so happen to get caught and now they have a black cloud over them.

Didn't the Steelers get busted by the Giants for deflating footballs? I really don't think it gives you any advantage but the league deemed it cheating so..

Thought this thread would be about Tomlin's comments about Antonio Brown's Facebook video. Bummer. :welp:

I didn't realize we had two resident conspiracy theorists.

If everyone cheats, the Patriots must be doing it A LOT more because they get caught a disproportionate amount of times, haha.

Also, I don't mind Tomlin apologizing. Just as he said in his video, he takes being a role model very seriously. So when it gets released for everyone to see... I bet he does regret it. With that said, he never expected that to be videoed and released and I think he was totally right about Antonio Brown.. He wasn't thinking about the team in that moment and you have to be disappointed by that.

I don't know if it will factor in or not, but at the VERY least.. You know Hoodie has played this video for his locker room at least a dozen times and will talk about it all the way until kickoff. Bill is maybe the best in the business at using bulletin board material, exaggerating it, and getting his guys to respond to it on the field -- mostly because that whole team is practically brainwashed Orwellian style. Thus, comments like the ones Tomlin made are seen as a direct attack on the Patriots culture, which Bill has enclosed all of his players in. Foxborough is a bubble and any threats to the sanctity of that bubble are dealt with swiftly.

As I said though, that doesn't guarantee anything on Sunday. Tomlin is also a great motivator, and if he is smart.. he is playing this to his advantage... He should be telling the Steelers locker room that he knows Hoodie and his players are going to come out pissed, but he believes in his team and they have to be bigger, better, meaner, and even more pissed than the other side.

I think it is appropriate for Tomlin to apologize, not only as a role model but also as a professional. The real perpetrator is AB.
