oochymp 2,393 Posted February 5, 2017 I'm sure there's been discussion in the Box of Shout, but we need a thread going, here is your Hall of Fame Class of 2017: Morten Anderson Terrell Davis Kenny Easley (senior nominee) Jerry Jones (contributor nominee) Jason Taylor* Ladanian Tomlinson* Kurt Warner * = first year of eligibility Any thoughts? I, for one, am very disappointed that there isn't a single offensive lineman, there were a lot of qualified candidates among the finalist list. Ya'll know I bang the drum for Jacoby, it's a crime that he isn't in yet, Faneca and Mawae are also absolutely HOF worthy players IMO and I wouldn't argue with Boselli getting in as well, all four were finalists. That said, I can't argue too much with any of the guys in the class, though I have argued a few times that I wouldn't put TD in, though I am a huge fan. .AirMcNair. 1,232 Posted February 5, 2017 (edited) A running back who had 4 seasons of good play(yes, granted, really good, but still just 4) and didn't even top 8k yards is getting in to the hall of fame, but guys like Owens, Mawae and Faneca among others are being made to wait? ok When can I expect Chris Johnson to get elected in to the HoF? Bucman 891 Posted February 5, 2017 TD wasn't deserving. Yes those 4 years were outstanding but I don't like putting a player in because of "what could have been". There are plenty of players who had promising careers derailed by injuries. We gonna put them in too? FartWaffles 1,857 Posted February 5, 2017 I feel like I need to start up the "Don Coryell for HoF" club. Dude has been way too long overdue to be elected. (Especially over Jerruh IMO) Also T.O. should be a shoo-in. It's sadly comical that his personality and not what he actually did on the field is keeping him from Canton. Jacoby was a big snub too. Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted February 6, 2017 (edited) I said it in the Shoutbox, but it's like the Hall of Fame recognized that they had a bunch of borderline guys on the ballot and decided to let them all in at once.
