This is how it looked essentially for my Cincinnati board when sitting at #9 and looking to trade for #5. I removed guys who didn't fill any positional needs (QB, RB, TE, DT/3-4DE, CB).
I'll list my thoughts on each individual guy on this board.

1st round

Malik Hooker S Ohio State 8.1 (#1 Player left on my board. Fills need at FS to convert Iloka back. Next great S.)

DeMarcus Walker 4-3 DE Florida State 7.9 (Not valued as highly as day one. Solid option, but could get late 1st.)

Chad Hansen WR Cal 7.9 (Essentially a Green clone, so the usage doesn't make sense. Need a different style of WR.)

John Ross WR Washington 7.8 (Have him as the #9 guy on my board overall, and his true value isn't until #15ish. If I can't get Malik, I'd move back for him around #13 if possible.)

Dan Feeney OG Indiana 7.8 (Very good option, although I like Boling/Westerman. Likely not an early day one guy though. Could trade back and snag him.)

Avery Gennesy OT Texas A&M 7.7 (Not on the board if we're being realistic. He's seen as day three by many.)

Corey Davis WR Western Michigan 7.7 (Great to pair with AJ, although I'd prefer Ross. If I trade back and Ross goes first, I'd take Corey at WR.)

Jamal Adams S LSU 7.6 (Would prefer Hooker, and likely wouldn't move up for him as quickly. He's probably gone by #9 anyways.)

Pat Elflein C Ohio State 7.6 (Likely a day two pick. Value doesn't match here.)

Dede Westbrook WR Oklahoma 7.5 (Likely a day two pick. Value doesn't match here.)

Parker Collins C Appalachian State 7.5 (Likely a day three pick. Value doesn't match here.)

Roderick Johnson OT Florida State 7.4 (Likely a day two pick. Value doesn't match here.)

Derek Barnett 4-3 DE Tennessee 7.2 (DE isn't the biggest need, and Barnett's value is somewhere around #16ish.)

Jabrill Peppers S Michigan 7.1 (If I miss on Hooker and Adams he's an option, although he's a late day one/early day two guy. Trade back and grab him near #20.)

Cam Robinson OG Alabama 7.0 (Great option, although I'd prefer to get him somewhere around #15-20. His value sits perfectly around there. Same situation as Feeney though with Boling/Westerman competition.)

Tarell Basham 4-3 DE Ohio 6.9 (I like him, but his value is around pick #50-65. Could get him day two instead.)

2nd round

Chad Wheeler OT USC 6.8 (Day three guy probably. Value doesn't match up.)

Reuben Foster 4-3 ILB Alabama 6.7 (I don't have a high enough grade on Foster to justify selecting him at #9.)

Andreas Knappe OT Connecticut 6.7 (Day three guy. Value doesn't match up.)

Mike Williams WR Clemson 6.6 (I don't have a high enough grade on Williams to justify selecting him at #9. Ross & Davis better.)

Forrest Lamp OT Western Kentucky 6.6 (Love Lamp, but not enough to select him #9 with guys I like at OT deeper in the class. If I'm a needy team, I'd do it, but I'll roll with Ogbuehi and Fisher.)

Ryan Switzer WR North Carolina 6.5 (Love him, but he's a day two guy. Value doesn't match up.)

Tyler Orlosky C West Virginia 6.5 (I strongly considered this one like Elflein, but value doesn't match up.)

K.D. Cannon WR Baylor 6.4 (Day two guy. Value doesn't match up.)

Ryan Anderson 3-4 OLB 6.4 (He could play that hybrid role like Flowers, but value doesn't match up.)

Adam Bisnowaty OT Pittsburgh 6.4 (Value doesn't match up.)

Nico Siragusa OG San Diego State 6.3 (Value doesn't match up.)

Jehu Chesson WR Michigan 6.3 (Value doesn't match up.)

Haason Reddick 3-4 ILB Temple 6.3 (I like him a lot here, actually, and think he fits the system better than Foster. Still, he's likely a late 1st based on what I saw at the time.)

J.J. Dielman C Utah 6.2 (Value doesn't match.)

Casey Dunn C Jacksonville State 6.1 (Value doesn't match.)

Dustin Stanton OG Oregon State 6.1 (Value doesn't match.)

Steven Taylor 3-4 ILB Houston 6.1 (Value doesn't match.)

Josh Posley 4-3 DE Ball State 6.1 (Value doesn't match.)

Taywan Taylor WR Western Kentucky 6.0 (Value doesn't match.)

You pick Derek Barnett because you need somebody... ANYBODY to get pressure on the QB not named Carlos Dunlap.

You pick Reuben Foster because he's the perfect compliment to Vontaze. Kevin Minter is a nobody signing, and Rey is worthless.

You pick one of your "slam dunk" Top 15 OLineman because... you need them, most noticeably a tackle, IMO.

Why is Barnett > Walker in your other scouting thread, but not here?

Thought about it, but I didn't like the value there on Barnett overall, and I don't think he's nearly as effective rushing the passer as a lot of people like to think. Good fit, but I thought there were more glaring needs than DE.

Considered Reuben, but I'm not a huge fan of his game in terms of what Cincinnati wants to do. He's not nearly as rangy as Reddick, and I've been down on Reuben a little bit anyways lately. I've been playing to make a move on a different ILB in round 3 or 4 that can get me 85% of the Foster brings to the table anyways.

The fact Fisher and Ogbuehi are under the contract for big bucks is a huge reason why I didn't do this. I like the guards for now, although I may be looking to snag guys later. Also, the depth of the class with guys like Gennesy and Johnson that I love in the later rounds makes picking them later more appealing.

The initial grades get changed on an inconsistent basis for that thread. If you want my current rankings you can see them on the latest update of the big board, or in the positional rankings on the website. Just too much of a hassle to go back and change things on that all the time.

I hate to break this love in and all buttttt, I'm likely to be asleep because BC fucked everything up and Vin is in lesson. JD has my instructions and is likely to pick for me again.

As it's late I'll give a quick rundown.

When with Watson as it's crazy that he drops down to 23. Eli is getting towards the latter stage of his career and will need a replacement. This won't happen for a good couple of years giving Watson the mentor and time he needs to learn from the bench but also giving the Giants a good back up QB who would be ready to go. I feel Watson's arm strength and accuracy are vastly underrated and I'd take it over out current back ups of Johnson and Smith, He also has that duel threat ability and is a great game reader. He'll Imo be a star QB given the time.

I could have gone RB but I like Perkins and feel he has a role to play along side a workhorse/brusing back, the LB corps is still lacking but I feel this draft is strong deep enough for a later round pick and I wouldn't touch any of the OLine available in the first with a barge pole.

Watson to the Giants is potentially a huge get. Eli''s career is definite winding down. He''s a guy who could benefit from sitting a year or two I think as well.

Also to people saying Ross is only a speed guy, I would really have to disagree. He has the quickness to shake DB's out of their shoes and I think he has enough tape to prove that. My concern with him is durability but as a player he's damn near impossible to cover.

Wanted to trade down... but didn't want to trade down 16 places to 40...

So I guess I'll take who I originally wanted, was gonna take a flyer and pray he would be there at 40 if I did trade...but you fuckers are picking apart my board left and right.

Farthing? Also meh... I'm not that high on Watson, (or really any of the QBs in this draft class) and I will gladly take who I have as my #1 OL prospect of this class at #25 overall. :smug:

Part of the reason I wanted to trade up was because I knew Fart would be taking Robinson. I feel like he'll either be way better than Ramczyk will or a colossal bust like Greg Robinson or Ereck Flowers. And since Donald Stephenson was already out of his element on the right side, I had to get a real tackle to prevent him from playing on the Left. Ramczyk should at the very least be a good fit for our scheme, and keep Siemian upright for long enough. He needs to figure out how to stop the spin move, hopefully playing against Von Miller and the rest of our pass rush should teach him a few things.

Like Taco in KC a lot. He'll have a chance to be really disruptive on a very talented front 7. KC has the coaching to get the most out of him.

Would have taken him (Watson) if he had lasted, but the Chiefs could use more pressure. I seriously considered Taco at the Colts spot.
