2017 TGP NFL Mock Draft Discussion

:Texans:

1.25 - Cam Robinson, OT/OG, Alabama

2.58 - Raekwon McMillan, ILB, Ohio State

3.89 - Patrick Mahomes, QB, Texas Tech

4.130 - Julie'n Davenport, OT, Bucknell

4.142 - Jonnu Smith, TE, FIU

5.169 - Sam Tevi, OT, Utah

7.243 - Grover Stewart, DL, Albany State

Knowing what I know now I would probably do things differently, but it's a decent haul. O-line was clearly my biggest concern and I feel like I took good care of that, but one regret is not drafting a safety.

Mahomes in the 3rd round is a steal. The Texans could take him in the 1st IRL.

:Raiders:

Caleb Brantley /UF /DL

Dalvin Tomlinson /Bama/ DL

Eddie Jackson /Bama/ S

James Conner /Pitt / RB

Ben Boulware /Clemson/ LB

Jeremy Cutrer /MTSU /CB

Jeremy Sprinkle / Hogs / TE

Jeremiah Ledbetter/Sooners / DL

Defensively, I feel we addressed our size issue up front. But with talent that is relentless as well with the first two picks

Boulware and Ledbetter are two guys that are undersized but work their asses off and have the drive to be better, all these guys do, and that's what we need and desire for the Raiders. Jackson can be a nice replacement for Reggie Nelson as he's in the final year of his contract and Cutrer? He's a playmaker that's on a mission to prove people wrong.

Conner and Sprinkle add serious physicality and are both guys with a nose for the end zone and utilize the middle of the field.. also good protectors too.

I wish we could get Foster or OT like Davenport but I'm very pleased with this.

Gonna have to invest a lot of money on that defensive line in a couple years, but that fits right into that little 3-4 year window to where contracts will start to come up. Raiders were good last year but get a couple good defensive linemen, a good young QB with a good oline and enough talent and they're going to win a lot. That's the formula to winning championships.

As for Fart's draft he was smart to know he could get Mahomes in this draft a lot later because of all these smart guy draftniks so he just picked up arguably the best offensive linemen in the draft and later took the one with probably the highest ceiling. If Mahomes could be even just decent with those receivers and that running game, the Texans have a shot.

That Cards draft looks goooood.......

I reached super hard on some guys based on what most draft media would say, but I liked my haul. Got my #1, #2, #3 guys overall in the first three rounds.

Reddick wasn't fully graded out at that point, and he has a higher grade the Malik Hooker does now. At the time, moving up for Malik Hooker was the best move on my board.

I'm really satisfied with how my Broncos draft turned out, I've got 4 guys who should start right away, depth in the middle rounds, and players I'm excited to take fliers on at the end of the draft (including drafting the only fullback). I feel like I nailed the Falcons needs. but would have liked to get a playmaking DT for them to seal the deal.

Really love the Browns draft, F4E. As a Browns fan, I wouldn't mind if you were our GM. Thanatos, your draft is killer as well. :thumbup2:

:Ravens:

16. Corey Davis, WR

47. TJ Watt OLB

78. Damontae Kazee CB

99. Isaac Asiata OG

122. JJ Dielman C

159. Rayshawn Jenkins S

186. William Likely III CB

Once Warhorse was up in the second, I was super excited that I would get one of Charles Harris or TJ Watt. If I am being honest, I preferred Harris big time so shout out to Warhorse for making a great pick. Overall, I am happy with the first two picks and I think the rest is fine. Wish I could have addressed ILB and RT but I think the Ravens might sort RT out in house. Kazee and Likely are both homer picks but I think the value for both picks was passable.

:Redskins:

17. Malik McDowell DL

49. Jarrad Davis ILB

81. Ryan Anderson LB

114. Taywan Taylor WR

123. Wayne Gallman RB

154. Stevie Tu'ikolovatu NT

201. Charles Walker DL

209. Blair Brown LB

220. DJ Jones NT

235. Damore'ea Stringfellow WR

Really happy with the Redskins draft despite not getting Kelly at QB. Got some good depth in the later rounds especially at NT and LB (the Redskins biggest needs). I don't know what it is with Stringfellow but I just have a hunch he'll be good at the next level from watching him in college. The big question mark is McDowell in the first; if I were to pick today, I probably would have taken Jabrill Peppers.

Well, Remington Steel television series lasted 5 years. Maybe he could be the face of another tv series after football.

:Bills:

(10) Mike Williams, WR, Clemson

(44). Obi Melifonwu, S, Connecticut

(82). Jourdan Lewis, CB, Michigan

(156). Jayon Brown, LB, UCLA

(171). Joshua Dobbs, QB, Tennessee

(195). Keionta Davis, DE, Chattanooga

(203). Devine Redding, RB, Indiana

:Giants:

(23). DeShaun Watson, QB, Clemson

(55). Dorian Johnson, OG, Pittsburgh

(87). Anthony Walker Jr, OLB, Northwestern

(140). Pharoah Brown, TE, Oregon

(167). TJ Logan, RB, North Carolina

(207). Nazair Jones, DT, North Carolina

(241). Marquel Lee, LB, Wake Forest

Overall I'm happy with both drafts. Bills fill needs, Got imo the best all around WR in the class and both Jayon Brown and Kieonta Davis will make first year impacts I feel.

The Giant's imo is the better of the two, I hit all potential needs. Watson given bench time to learn will be an instant replacement for Eli, I've gotten the best OG in this class no matter what Cheryl says and Walker's pass rush imo should come into effect straight away. Pharoah Brown was a reach but will be useful in the passing game
