BwareDWare94 723 Posted March 19, 2017 I have done exactly zero research and hate the draft process because of the 24/7 coverage as soon as the Super Bowl is over. I would prefer that my team draft offensive linemen in the 2nd and 5th rounds (so long as they didn't trade away those picks, too) as long as there's reasonable talent available each time (so no Willie Beavers types). I would also like the team to allow Zimmer to continue to draft project cornerbacks if there's somebody there. So far Waynes is a bust because of draft position but he's a decent player and is an INT waiting to happen, and he's steadily improving. McKenzie Alexander is solid and I'm assuming will take over in the nickel for Munnerlyn. Z should have drafted Marcus Peters but he knows what he's doing when it comes to cornerbacks and I think he should be allowed to draft one every year. You can never have too much talent at CB. Cherry 1,302 Posted March 27, 2017 Ejuan Price is a third down specialist who will get a few sacks at best. Sidney Jones most meaningful accomplishment will be ever seeing the field again at all. The Bengals won't go safety, they already have Shawn Williams locked up. - Favre
seanbrock 1,684 Posted April 1, 2017 I'm starting to thing this CB class isn't as deep as everyone thinks. A lot of these guys are just too slow to play on the outside. With the way the rules are in the NFL today a CB with 4.5 speed will be eaten alive on the outside. It's the trendy thing to say so 40 times and measurable don't matter but like I said with the rules the way they are and how many freakish athletes there are at WR in the league right now you just can't compete without some kind of speed. I think this draft will be remembered for the safety class more so than the CB class because some of these guys are just football players and the guys who played safety in college are pretty damn good too.
