FartWaffles 1,857 Posted March 21, 2017 http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/2090/josh-mccown Jets signed QB Josh McCown, formerly of the Browns, to a one-year, $6-million contract. The $6 million is fully guaranteed, and he can earn an additional $7 million in playtime and team-based incentives. Set to turn 38 in July, McCown is the definition of a stopgap option who the Jets will hope can give them competent quarterback play while they revamp their quarterback room. Unfortunately, McCown seems to get hurt every time he touches the field at this point in his career, making it very unlikely he lasts a full season. Unless they are content to watch Christian Hackenberg or Bryce Petty start multiple games, the Jets still have some work to do. This is the tenth NFL franchise that he has signed a contract with. If that's not the record, he's gotta be damn close to it.
