SteVo+ 3,702 Posted June 16, 2017 Oh so we all hate LeBron again? Other than atl. He's at least been consistently stupid in his hatred of LeBron. For the record, I don't particularly like the guy, but he's absolutely one of the greatest players in NBA history. I just like spurring the Jordan/LeBron debate because I find it hilarious that people either think Jordan is unequivocally the best player or LeBron is unequivocally the best player. Somehow no one can agree that they're both legendary players, and whoever is actually better, it's really really close. Human nature, I suppose.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted June 16, 2017 Are they that close, though?

Somehow no one can agree that they're both legendary players, and whoever is actually better, it's really really close. Human nature, I suppose. Yeah I think it's pretty ridiculous that Kareem or Wilt is never mentioned. This isn't just a two player conversation. People forget how great some of these players were before the 90's. People say Wilt never played against real competition or that he can't be in the talks because he couldn't beat a team with a starting roster full of hall of famers coached by arguably the greatest coach ever. Don't forget that the man was touching the top of the back board wearing Chuck Taylors lol. If you think he wouldn't dominate in today's NBA you're crazy As far as Kareem goes, all he did was win. High School, college, both of the pro teams he played for. He had the most unstoppable shot ever in league history and you want to talk about LeBron playing better teams in the finals? lol Kareem went up against some of the all time greatest teams and most of the time he came out on top. The reason why people think LeBron is a douche should be pretty obvious though. The Heat weren't a Super Team? Come on man. They just weren't as super as the Warriors. As everyone else has brought up, he's just mad because he couldn't do it himself. That happens in every sport. Was the NFL doomed after the Seahawks embarrassed the Broncos in the Super Bowl years back? It doesn't need to be 7 game series everywhere to be fun. The Seahawks embarrassing the Bronco's in the Super Bowl didn't ruin the entire playoffs though. The NFL is so much more competitive than the NBA. That's very easily the worst comparison that you could have made lol. The NFL doesn't have super teams. The reason the Patriots have won so much is because they develop talent better than anyone in the league, not because they have the most stars.

JetsFan4Life 542 Posted June 17, 2017 Is what ATL or Razor said inaccurate? I don't recall Lebron bashing the Warriors for what they did like ATL stated but I could have just missed it.
Bucman 891 Posted June 17, 2017 Lebron said basketball is just a game to him. He can pretty much GTFO.
Sparty 110 Posted June 17, 2017 It pretty much is just a game though, and he makes millions doing it and already has multiple titles....
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted June 17, 2017 It pretty much is just a game though, and he makes millions doing it and already has multiple titles.... Maybe -- but you don't want to hear that from the supposed GOAT or one of the all time greats. We want our athletes to love the game, show a passion for the game, to respect the game. Lebron may do all of those things, but he just doesn't act like it sometimes. He acts like a child.

DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F 2,241 Posted June 18, 2017 Don't forget that he's never had to compete in the West. Who has been the best team he's played in the post season in the East? The Paul Pierce / KG Celtics? The Eastern Conference was also less competitive during the years Jordan and his Bulls won numerous championships. The West was weak in the 80s when Magic and Kareem dominated. Same with Russell and his crew in the East in the 60s. Like the whole "Lebron starting superteams, made the league less competitive" rhetoric, it's an old story that's always been part of the league that Lebron gets flack for because he gets on press conferences and doesn't say everything that a yes man athlete is supposed to say. seanbrock 1,684 Posted June 18, 2017 If the Sixers can keep that Sacramento first they still could potentially have some insurance for injured stars. Very good.
