Vin+ 3,121 Posted July 20, 2017 Shut it down. Jaguars DE Dante Fowler was arrested on misdemeanor charges of simple battery and mischief in St. Petersburg, Fla. on Tuesday night. Fowler allegedly got out of his car, hit a man, knocking off his glasses, and then stepped on them. The arrest comes exactly one month after DC Todd Wash said Fowler has "matured a lot" heading into his third year. Fowler was released early this morning on $650 bond. The former No. 3 overall pick missed all of 2015 with a torn ACL and recorded just four sacks last season while taking eight penalties. Source: Tampa Bay Times Jaguars DE Dante Fowler was also arrested in March 2016 on charges of assault on an officer/EMT in Miami Beach. Charges were later dropped, but Fowler's arrest on Tuesday night for simple battery and criminal mischief is his second run-in with the law in 16 months. His previous arrest could affect the way the courts handle this current one. Fowler has been a disappointment two years into the league, but he's still just 22. Source: Greg Auman on Twitter According to Mike Kaye of First Coast News, Jaguars DE Dante Fowler has at least 10 traffic tickets dating back to December 2015. Since it was revealed he was arrested on Tuesday night for hitting a man, knocking off his glasses, stomping on the glasses, and taking the man's groceries and throwing them into a lake at an apartment complex all because the man criticized Fowler's driving, Kaye decided to dig into local court records. They revealed Fowler was once cited for driving 98 MPH in a 55 zone and another citation was for careless driving, causing $1,500 in property damage. Fowler could be subject to a suspension following his recent battery and criminal mischief charges. Source: Mike Kaye on Twitter

SteVo+ 3,702 Posted August 8, 2017 butwaitthere'smore ESPN Jaguars reporter Mike DiRocco reports the team is "unlikely" to allow LT Branden Albert to return to the organization. Albert has walked out on the team more than once since he was acquired from the Dolphins back in March. First, he refused to show up to OTAs or minicamp before reporting for the first day of training camp only to "retire" three days into it after he was getting his butt kicked by the Jaguars' younger linemen. Now that it's been revealed he may have to pay back $3.4 million to the team as part of his signing bonus, Albert wants back in. That sure blew up in Albert's face. Good on the Jags, IMO. You've got to build a culture of commitment.
