seanbrock 1,684 Posted August 15, 2017 I'll grant you that they have a tough schedule. If they can come away 10-6 they're one of the best teams in football. There are only 2 teams on that schedule where you look at it and scythe Eagles are definitely winning those games. The Cardinals, Chargers, Panthers, Rams and Redskins are all teams that stunk last year but could potentially turn it around and at the very least be tough opponents. The one thing I do like is the week 10 bye. The Eagles could absolutely win 10 games though. They have a defense who will keep them in every game. There are a bunch of teams on this schedule that have a defense to match the Eagles defense, but really only 1 that can score any points themselves and that's Seattle. The Eagles also have been an elite special teams units for years now and Dave Fipp is still here so I don't see that changing. If Carson Wentz cuts down the turnovers and this offense can score around 25 ppg the Eagles will be a really tough team and it really does hinge on Wentz entirely. If he's legit so are the Eagles. seanbrock 1,684 Posted August 15, 2017 Eagles have an awesome safety duo and one of the 3 best coverage LB's to help clean up mistakes. Eagles were a very good red zone defense last year with bad CB's anyway. Obviously injuries always play a roll as they do with every team, but above average CB play would make this defense remarkably better. Depth is a big question at WR, RB, CB and LB, it's true, but a healthy Eagles defense is going to be one of the best in the league. Offensively they have a lot of upside but they don't really need to set the world on fire either. Just protect the football and convert in the red zone. Like I said, if Wentz plays better, the Eagles have a very strong shot at being a formidable team. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
