Vin+ 3,121 Posted August 31, 2017 Texans signed FB Jay Prosch to a three-year, $5.75 million extension through 2020. The deal includes $2.7 million guaranteed. Prosch has just 42 career carries and two catches, but has emerged as a capable lead blocker. Heading into his age-25 season, Prosch was the No. 211 overall pick of the 2014 draft. Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter Texans signed TE C.J. Fiedorowicz to a three-year, $21.5 million extension through 2020. The deal includes $10 million guaranteed. The No. 65 overall pick of the 2014 draft, Fiedorowicz hung around the fringes of relevance before breaking out for 54/559/4 last season. That was in spite, or perhaps sometimes because of, awful quarterback play. He's a chain-moving pass catcher who offers a 6-foot-5 frame in the red zone. He's a plug-and-play TE2 for fantasy purposes. Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter Texans signed WR DeAndre Hopkins to a five-year, $81 million extension through 2022. The deal includes "nearly" $50 million guaranteed, breaking the previous record. Despite a down 2016 fueled by horrendous quarterback play, 25-year-old Hopkins has established himself as one of the league's top wideouts. He boasts unreal body control to go along with top-notch explosion and excellent hands. He surpassed 1,200 yards in both 2014-15. Quarterback remains the issue, but Hopkins is a true No. 1 receiver. oochymp 2,393 Posted September 1, 2017 Prosch's contract makes him the fifth highest paid FB based on average money, also only 33 RBs have a higher per year figure, that's a huge contract for a FB Hopkins is now the second highest paid WR on a per year basis at $16.2M, behind only Antonio Brown whose contract averages $17M per year Fiedorowicz is right in the middle of starting TEs In fairness, I'm just looking at the added years and money, factoring in remaining years that are included in the contracts may change the numbers, but I don't feel like looking into it that far right now
